1966 Batgirl?

Postby ks082091 » Fri Sep 20, 2013 4:56 am

I was looking through barnes and nobles system, and alongside the listings for the 1966 batman pops, there was a listing for 1966 batgirl? I hadnt heard about this at all, and even the 1966 preorder on gemini just has the four(robin, batman, joker, and catwoman). anyone know anything?

There is no Batgirl for this first part of the series ..

Yvonne Craig just days ago signed a merchandise deal (finally) for her likeness to be used ..

So.. very likely you could see Batgirl next series ..

Grup, I appreciate you thinking of me whenever Batgirl comes up! :D I was so excited when I read about Yvonne Craig's merchandise deal the other day. I think Funko might have wanted to include Batgirl in the original '66 set (I remember her being mentioned!) so hopefully now that the deal is done, she arrives sooner rather than later! :bounce:

Hopefully we'll get variations on the figures, like a Riddler with a mustache for when John Astin did the part. Or a black catwoman for Eartha Kitt :)

Agreed. I'd like to see them do Riddler in equal distribution for Gorshin and Astin. I'd definitely get both!

Oh yay I was so bummed when Batgirl wasn't apart of the set. She was my favorite character in that series so this is great news. I totally agree on the Riddler and Penguin those were classic, so maybe a series 2? I'd get it in a heartbeat

Pretty exciting to think there could be a Batgirl. And I'm with Claire--bring on the Riddler and Penguin.

Brilliant idea! Of course if they make a John Astin Riddler I will want Addams Family Pops even more. :)
