Maybe Funko might have a soup can connected to a string also. You never know.

Is it still a definite that Epic Mickey is still coming out? I don't know if any info about them has surfaced for awhile so it makes me wonder.

It just seems pointless to ask us instead of directly asking Funko for glam pictures. These threads pop up weekly.

Unless, like in this case, you don't use the social media sites that Funko releases them on. There are many people that do not use Facebook or twitter and then cannot ask Funko directly. These threads will either get a response or someone else will forward the question to Facebook or twitter. So there is a reason for these threads. All we can do is help a Funko Funatic in need.
And it's great that these types of threads pop up weekly. That shows loyalty, anticipation, and want for the product. As a business, this is exactly what Funko is looking for.

I don't see why there's a need to bash someone for being excited..I think that's what this forum is for...it may be pointless to some but to others for instance people who didn't even know these were coming out this post is very helpful....I don't think he was asking for glam shots as much as he was making a statement about how excited he is to see and get these...

Well, I wasn't complaing about Gruppet making the post I was agreeing with Elaine because if you have a Facebook or something like that then ask on their, and hopefully they will answer they have never really answered me, so that's why I always ask on here... I know I have asked quite alot about the Horror Glam shots and I say I may be getting anyoing but Im excited just as Gruppet is for the Epic Mickey Pops which I say I may have to pick up Mickey when I see how he looks when and hopefully his glam shot is released.

Idk I think that's the reason people join these forums to express their excitement asks questions and network...jumping down peoples throats for doing so isn't really doing anything but alienating people

Funko joined Facebook in November 2011. They joined Twitter this past April.

Funko was founded in 1998.

So you're saying that in the 13 years between 1998 and November 2011, there was no way to contact Funko and ask them a question?

A wise man once said something about giving someone a fish vs. teaching someone how to fish. Are we really helping needy Funatics by constantly giving them fish?

In my opinion, what would show loyalty, anticipation, and want for the product, would be going out of your way to find out that info, then coming back here to share it.

Over the past decade+ of collecting Funko, I've learned that they only release info, like glam shots, when they're ready to release them. If there's ever a glam shot you're eager to see, be patient and they'll share with us all when they're ready. Until that time, stay excited and look to the future!

Going out to find the info and coming back here to share...would that not defeat your entire response? By your response anyone who finds the answers on their own should not come back here and share, but tell people to go find it themselves.
I think it was said best, that this site is here for people who love the products and want to express that or may have questions. If they could have found the answer they would not have asked. People come here hoping to find the answers to there questions, not a smart remark or a kick while they're down. If you can help then help. If you can't maybe you know someone who can, and you can send that person into the right direction. If you can't help then why bother posting in the first place.
And I doubt Funko wants us calling them on a regular basis asking question. That's why they set up this site and utilize social media when they can. They did it to help their customers on a more managable basis. Since the company is not on here answering questions 24/7, that's were the loyal fans come in. We are the ones helping when we can.

I really don't know how you got that from my response, but, no, that would not defeat my entire response. If you have a "scoop" then you should most definitely post here for others to read about. Pretty sure I didn't say they shouldn't.

You're suggesting that people with questions that are most likely not answerable by members here, post the questions so that another member can ask Funko, then come back and post the answer. And all because you say it's impossible to contact Funko if you don't use Facebook or Twitter. My response was simply that there are other ways to contact Funko, and learning to do so may make obtaining answers quicker and easier. The world managed to find a way before social media. Though it may be easier, it is not the only way to make contact.

I've seen someone post on this site asking for Amazon.com's phone number. Do you really think the person who asked that question could not have found the answer if they looked? You said it yourself in your response...

Battastic wrote:If you can help then help. If you can't maybe you know someone who can, and you can send that person into the right direction..

Anyone who suggested reaching out to Funko directly via Facebook, or phone, or any other means was pointing him in the right direction. It was not a smart remark, or a kick while they're down.

And I may be mistaken on this, but Funko did not set up this site. They don't pay for the servers. They don't moderate the boards. I think there was a different founder, but FFJim is now responsible for this site, not Funko.

Guess what..whether you like it or not people join forums to ask questions..share information..network..tell stories etc...people answer them questions and its one less question that will need asked in the future and could help out many others who didn't think to ask the question hadn't gotten around to it or whatever it may be..this site whether fully run by funko or not is an extension of it and something funko and their retailers pay close attention and even actively particpate in...why wouldnt you ask a question here first to see if something may have slipped past on the board before blowing up a companies twitter or facebook feed...chances are you will be responded to quicker in an active community then by a company who doesn't have ALL day to monitor social networking...I don't see the need in you jumping into a post to rag on somebody for asking a question...if it bothers you so much ignore the questions you percieve as stupid and let someone who is willing to help out answer them

Well alrighty then. It doesn't appear that any of us here on the board have the glam pics hidden somewhere for Epic Mickey, Oswald, the new horror line, the WWE, or The Regular Show. I would suggest emailing Shawndra @ Funko customer service about it. If that suggestion hurts anybody's itty bitty feelings then I am sorry that I suggested that you ask FUNKO the question.

He didnt ask anyone if they had them hidden he asked when they were coming out because he was excited big difference and he asked a helping community..the one no ask on facebook would have sufficed without the extra bigotness

OK, let me pick a date. The glam pics are coming out August 4th.

Again, in my ORIGINAL response I suggested asking Funko about this. It wasn't bashing or being snarky (not at the time).

Did I post something inappropriate? I don't think so. Do you mean that because he's a minor, he doesn't know how to use email? He has his own YouTube channel and an active membership on this forum. I'm pretty sure you need to have an email address to have either. Or do you mean that because he's a minor, he doesn't know about the telephone and how to use one? I can't say definitively that he does, but I'd be willing to bet on it. I'd also be willing to bet that he's more technologically savvy than a lot of people here.

I really don't know what his being a minor has to do with anything.

I don't think anyone was ridiculing him. Elaine suggested he try on Facebook. He said he doesn't use Facebook. I gave him alternatives. Why does that make you mad? Maybe you thought my response and the next two were sarcastic, but guess what...whether you like it or not, people on message boards can be sarcastic.

I don't think anyone told him not to ask questions. Please, correct me if I'm wrong. All anyone implied is that there might be a better way to find the answer to this particular question and others like it.

Since the beginning, there have always been collectors who are closer to FunKo than most. Questions asked here occasionally find there way straight to the source via those individuals. And sometimes, those questions get answered.

At least it used to work that way. Whoever has taken over releasing FunKo info treats this place like something between a non-entity and an afterthought.

You're mistaken.

My bad. Thought I remembered FFJim saying he took over the site from another member.

That's part of the reason this is making me mad...he's a kid using the site the way its meant to be used...not doing anything wrong but being ridiculed..why?

Did I post something inappropriate? I don't think so. Do you mean that because he's a minor, he doesn't know how to use email? He has his own YouTube channel and an active membership on this forum. I'm pretty sure you need to have an email address to have either. Or do you mean that because he's a minor, he doesn't know about the telephone and how to use one? I can't say definitively that he does, but I'd be willing to bet on it. I'd also be willing to bet that he's more technologically savvy than a lot of people here.

Not at all (from me)... Was just saying, as a parent... maybe his/her parents won't allow for some things. That's all.

I'm sorry it took so long but it was all I could find. I hope this tides you over until more news and better pictures come around. Keep asking questions and we will keep trying to find the answers.

Poor Gruppeteer, his threads are always hijacked... Anyway, I'm excited for Oswald and looking forward to seeing a glam too, though I'm afraid that because of the game's bad reviews, the figure will never come. :oS
