I totally agree with everything you said. I'm stunned that some of these have made it to stores. Funko really needs to reject more of these batches and require the paint vendor to redo the work. I really love the Pop line but the simplicity of the sculpts and designs really makes some of these paint jobs unacceptable.
Eaglemoss (out of the U.K.) created a line of hand painted lead figurines (painted in the Philippines) and sold them here via Diamond at a price point of $12 for Marvel figurines and $14 for DC figurines. We're not buying $250 Bowen statues (where paint quality expectations are very high) but even these $12 figurines had better paint jobs on much more detailed and complex sculpts.

I'm not promoting these other figurines... I'm just saying that I hope Funko holds the paint shots to a higher standard.
