Baseless lotso question..?

Just received a Lotso Pop! today in the mail that I planned on customizing. Turns out it was a baseless Version. My question is, how rare are these> Should I NOT ruin it and just order another more recent version?

Also on a side note, His friggin' arms move up and down.. Never seen a Pop with movable arms before.. Is this normal??

He's pretty darn cute as well. Thanks guys!

I don't know that he's rare per se, but I know that a lot of people prefer the baseless versions because the bases throw off the consistent look of their collection. So, for that reason, if you were to sell him you could probably get a bit more than a version with a base. As far as I know, the baseless versions were sold at the Disney Store, and the ones sold elsewhere after had bases.

Baseless version is the first run of Toy Story figures that were sold exlusively by Disney Stores....after these were released to other retailers, they had to add a base for licensing reasons. There's quite a few threads on this, but I'm too lazy to find them. If you're planning on doing a custom, I'd try to find one with a base.

I agree David, I would not customize the first version. I thought the baseless were not bobbles and bases were bobbles but I could be and probably am wrong. Merry Christmas. Sent you a friend request on Facebook.
