My brother follows MLP, doesn't collect the Hasbro stuff mainly because of the doll hair, these being all vinyl may bridge the gap, he did indeed buy the two protos already, he is pretty excited. Also, he refuses to call himself a bronie ha.

These may be similar to the pocket god line, didn't they have like 2 full size vinyls then a series of blind boxes?

Perhaps. I know MLP is a HUGE money maker for Hasbro so it would have to be a deal that did not clash with their products.
