Agreed, but maybe they should just finish the set in one swoop so people won't need to complain about too many princesses after that (i.e. so I can have them all! I'm looking at you, Aurora, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Pocahontas.)

That is exactly how I feel! I know that Mulan and Pocahontas are underappreciated, but I can't imagine not having them at all! I started my collection with Merida and now I've gotten/ordered all the princesses available, but it's just not the same without having them all available

The only Princesses I have right now are Belle & Ariel. The only other Princesses I want to finish my Princess line are...Aurora,Elsa, & maybe Princess Tiana & Anna. There about the only ones I really want.

Frozen was the best Disney movie in at least the last 10 years. I will definitely be picking up a pop or two from this line when it comes out. Thanks so much for the good news on Frozen! Now as for the rest of the Disney Princesses... can we at least get one of the POCs?

I need a Kida. Before Funko released the Rocketeer I didn't have much hope for ever seeing lesser known Disney characters made. Kida would be great for exclusives, particularly GITD and crystal because her body crystallized and glowed in the movie.

Besides hipster Belle, which we haven't found yet, my wife has all the princesses and mini princesses that have been released. She would love it if they made more princes (technically Beast is a prince so that's 1). She loves Mulan so after Aurora and Anna and Elsa that's who she would want most. But if you are going to be obscure with Kida (I had no idea who that was) maybe they should make a Megara from Hercules and Eilonwy from The Black Cauldron and Marie from the Aristocats (she's almost as much of a princess as Nala)

Yes Queen Elsa is a Queen but she is beening put under the Disney label as a Princess along with the others like Mulan and Pocahontas. Also sometime this year both Queen Elsa and Anna will be Coronation into the Princess family. Anna beening the 12th and Queen Elsa the 13th.

I believe that although Elsa is technically a queen, Disney will coronate her as another Disney princess so they can put her in the line up. Because lets be honest, people really prefer Elsa to Anna.

To say she is obsessed with Frozen would be a serious understatement. If we can get through an entire conversation without the mention of the movie, or a song, or a quote, then it must have been a 20 second conversation. It's a good thing I actually like the movie.

Like others have said, even though Elsa is a queen she will be part of the Disney Princess line-up once she is coronated. The Disney Princess line is Disney's biggest merch cash cow. Just because someone refers to a character as a princess doesn't mean they meant it literally. There are those that were born or married into the throne and those that are referred to as a princess because they were included in the Disney Princess line-up (like Mulan). The first Disney princess to become queen in her movie (not by marriage) is Kida. Elsa is the second. Kida isn't part of the Disney Princess line-up, but is usually referred to as a Disney Heroine even though she was born a princess. Elsa was born a princess, becomes queen, and will soon be part of the Disney Princess line-up. As you can see, Disney is really screwy when it comes to how they define a "princess".

I believe the reason Kida isn't considered a Disney princess is because her movie was not a musical. There is a list of requirements a princess movie must have to become a princess. Now Brave was not a musical, but Merida is a princess probably because it was a Pixar movie. Characters like Nala or Faline aren't princesses simply because they are not human. There are other things they need to "qualify," but sometimes Disney chooses to over look some things to allow for a greater profit to be made

Also why I think Disney doesn't count Kida is because it did poorly in the movie theaters and so if a movie doesn't do good in Disney they drop them. I know I didn't like that movie.

I know this thread has kinda died, but I had a great idea! Since they've been making see through pops, they should totally make a see through Anna, as if she had been turned to ice! I would definitely buy it, even if it was an exclusive for a convention or something

I had the same idea when I first saw the movie. At least now the movie has been out long enough so I don't have to hide it in a spoiler box any more. This would definitely be one of the better Disney exclusives since it would have something to do with the movie itself and not just be another random metallic exclusive.

Funny thing: Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame USE to be part of the Disney Princess line. There were Disney Store 'princess' dolls of her and everything. http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lu0og7jTfw1qgsmfro2_1280.jpg This was when the line first started around the early 00s. I kind of wish she were still included, simply because that would mean Disney would release a new doll of her and Phoebus every year... Plus, that would mean a possible Frollo doll (since Disney only seems to do dolls for the Princess Villains.) But, I digress.

I wasn't really that blown away by Frozen. And I didn't really care for many of the characters. But, I would like to see Hans most of all in the Frozen set.

The Disney Princess line began in the late 90s. Aurora began appearing in pink after being in blue for nearly four decades. Esmerelda was added to the line in 1999 and removed from it in 2004. Jane Porter was almost added to the line, but didn't make the cut. Tinker Bell also used to be part of the line, but was removed. At least she got her own line though. Most other female Disney characters were not so fortunate.

Hans is the less that I want to see in this line that evil backstaper. Who gives evil a new name the way he try to kill both sisters was really rude. He was the cold hearted and dangerous of the whole movie.
