Non Character Pops

Personally I don't see the point. The Iron Thrones is a bit daft, as is the rose from BatB - and I'm saying that having every other BatB Pop. I'd, personally, feel differently if it was a different line altogether. Like Funko Props or something. But then again, the charm of Funko products is the style of the figures. Personally I wouldn't see it becoming a thing as I don't think they'd sell well. The only one that has is the Iron Throne and that's only really since the last season finished.

I'd love to see the eye of Sauron as a Pop figure. I did enjoy getting the rose from B&tB; scale notwithstanding, it was just the right thing to round out that collection.

Was reading another post about logos and it made me think about non character Pops that could compliment my collection. For example, a Death Star Pop (chase could be the blown up version) or buried statue of Liberty from the first planet of the apes. Which others would you like to see and try to keep it in areas that Funko already has licenses in.

I don't know how I feel about non Character Pops. I feel like these should just stay in the realm of action figures. I feel like the Funko Pop relates to certain Pop culture characters.

At the same time they have made a few non character molds such as the Tardis phone booth from Doctor Who and Train Engines for the Harry Potter set.

So I guess it's up in the air but if I had to make a decision to make more non character Pops I would vote against it and stick to characters.

You’re right. They would literally have to be “in” the death star on this one. What if they made the Pop be the death star and the figure be a mini? Combine to lines into one?

I think it'd look a little weird, but funny, if they had the Emperor, Vader, or Tarkin popping out of the top of the Death Star (no pun intended). It'd also be really cute as a Dorbz Ridez!

Well I would have to say the weirwood tree in the godswood from Game of Thrones. The white bark and red leaves would look real nice with my GOT collection for sure. Also have to be a "Dead Inside" door for my Walking Dead collection. <3

My original thought was for items to compliment your pop display not really for existing lines like rides, they are already a thing (and yes, I am aware that the Death Star is a space ship/station but that was only a suggestion).

For example, i really liked the idea of the Infinity Gauntlet. Think of how cool that set would look if they all surrounded the Gauntlet with the new Thanos pop behind it.

Ahh ok I see your point now, that would be a whole new line that Funko would have to design a new model to fit into their style. Who knows maybe they will see this and run with your idea somehow

I hear ya man. I have a brother who had to bow out of it because of how many they were releasing at a time.
