I checked brickseek again for the 10 inch groot and my local targets got them already but i called and they told me they're not allowed to sell them till the 16th of april -_-

I just checked brickseek again and more stores around me are showing that they have stock but even if they have 8-10 in stock it shows that only a couple are available for sale so they gotta be going fast because yesterday every store said they had 0 in stock. Crazy how quickly they are selling.

Yeah as soon as I saw any listed on Brickseek I made the journey to a Target 15 miles away and sure enough they only had a few left. The guy had to go into the back to grab one and said they were only letting people get 1 which I thought was pretty cool.

I did the same thing, went to the store right when they opened. I'm glad I don't have to turn to eBay for him because those prices are awful. Thats good to hear that they were trying to limit what people could buy. I'm glad you were able to snag one! Hopefully other funatics will be able to get them now that they are showing up more. [-o<

I don't know about everyone else's experience but I think i am getting lied to a lot by Target. I used brickseek and a lot of places near me show they have them. I go and they say they don't even though i suspect they have them in the back. One guy came out of the store room laughing and said no but their scanner showed 10 in the store room. I called another place and she didn't even let me finish giving her the number before she said no they have none. On brickseek the closest one to me showed 2 on hand and none saleable and then went to out of stock within 5 min of opening. I don't know if this is just a southern California thing or not. I have several friends in the midwest that got the 10 inch groot just fine.

I'm in NorCal and was able to get one locally. They were even kind enough to put one on hold for me which they normally do not do for popular items like this. Now interestingly one of the stores got a restock on the Groots already while several of the other Targets didn't even get a single one in yet. Weird distribution. Hoping they'll show up locally.

Yes, for Groot. Since technically they were not going to be on the shelves until 4/17. Lol So this is going to be another mess. I feel like all pops will be street dated in the future or something. I'm sure it will also be in the ad and not stores will have it.

Weapon X is also going to be officially discontinued next week. It has the warning "Discontinued soon" in the system at work. I don't think most stores will get any further shipments of that.

One of our stores out in North Hollywood and another in Granada Hills got restocks a few days after selling out of their original shipments. Quite possible they just pushed some extras out to random stores but looks like it is happening. My store got 2 today but my fiance and I scored 1 for ourselves and one for another funatic yesterday. I guess nobody really came looking for them at my store since I managed to grab 1 more at 11am with an absolutely trashed box, but fortunately its going to an OOB funatic.

Are you located on the east coast by chance? I scanned Weapon X today at work and it didn't show Discontinued Soon on the mydevice. It seems like Target's system updates later here in SoCal than other parts of the country which is why I believe that dpci numbers get found before they even register in our system here.

Is there a Discontinued Soon warning on Groot? It says Target exclusive, but I can't find info that it's a limited run. Does anyone know? Some of the other exclusives specifically listed there were only 5,000 or something. They just showed up in stock 5 hours ago near me, but I'm traveling out of state so I can't go and it sounds like they won't hold them

Checked Brickseek this morning, one Target not to far showed6 on-hand. Called them at 8 and the sales girls said they didn't have any. Checked Brickseek again and it showed 5 on-hand so I decided to drive out there to check for myself.

They did have them behind the electronics counter and you had to ask a sales person for it. They limited it to one per customer and no holds.

I had problems checking for one too. Brickseek went green this morning for half a dozen stores in my area. The first two I called swore up and down they didn't have it - one even said the item number wasn't in their system. Both showed at least 10 on hand and 6 saleable. The third store I called showed 11 on hand, 8 saleable, and the employee I spoke to there had them stocked behind the electronics counter. He was nice enough to hold one for me, but apparently that location usually doesn't allow holds on "collectibles."

I think it depends on the employees of target if you find a groot or not, my local target just got a shipment of them so I went to get one but the manager for electronics just told me he can't sell them until the 16th of April yet a lot of other targets are selling them.

Went to one of the Targets by me an hour ago and they had 6 of the Groots in the Funko Section. I was able to buy one, nothing about a hold until 4/16 or 4/17.

I checked Brickseek for my store in MA when I got to work on a whim. They showed 10 in stock, 9 saleable. i tried to come up with a good reason to leave the office but could not. I checked right before I left and it said 2 in stock, 1 saleable. I drove as fast as I could to that Target (about 50 Min) and when I got there found no Groots. I did ask an employee and when I gave him the DPCI he instantly said Ahh Groot, he sold out at 1 PM. I asked if they had gotten the 10 this morning and he said yes and they almost were all gone by Noon with a few stragglers. I thanked him and walked away and just as I was about to turn the corner he called me back. He said we DO have 1 left!. They were holding it for someone and that person just called and stated they found it at another store and they didn't need to hold it any longer! It was my lucky day! Not a perfect box but I am very happy and very lucky to have gotten my hands on him!

I had a major issue at the first store I tried and hopefully my story along with several other people I waited with will be investigated by Target corporate, but since then I've managed to snag 4 between 3 different stores (1 for myself and 3 for other funatics including you on here $\:D/$ ) Gotta keep the Funko Good Vibes going!

My closest Target showed stock this morning. DH was nice enough (okay-he wanted this one too) to go when they opened. He went to Electronics, nothing. I told him to ask. Turns out they were in Toys at our Target-they were nice enough to bring him one up. There were others there buying them, grumbling because they couldn't buy two. He is already proudly displayed in our Groot display. He is so adorable!!!

Thank you!! My friend tried and the stores showing them didn't have them supposedly. I called 3 stores yesterday. They all said they hadn't seen him and they didn't have any. All of them showed stock but no saleable stock. I'm so confused because now those stores have fewer than they did yesterday or are sold out. Ugh. I don't know how to convince an employee they have them over the phone.

Finally managed to get one, sorta annoying that only 1-2 stores in the area got it per day. Made so many people at the stores each morning. If everyone got it at the same time the flippers would be more spread out.
