My kids got a few that they had wanted but they weren't exclusives. Eve from wall e, megaman, and a few others. My big one was a Conan pop and a negan Prototype.

I think my new goal is just to pull at for a slot at the funko booth. I tried twice and thought I was in great position but did not get a pull either time.

Fundays, it was in one of the bags passed out at the table. It's now my favorite Funko thing I own, it goes next to my 4 Lucilles, negan figures, and all my other walking dead stuff. Love this so much. I'm at work right now but I'll post a picture of it later.

Of course! I've found that meeting new friends is the best part of SDCC.

For Thursday, I lined up Tuesday night, most my friends got what they wanted but I didn't. I made friends in line and we exchanged what we wanted to do at sdcc and took turns in line for the remaining days. Hopefully next year I got lucky enough to get in during preview night, would save tons of time.

I think Funko has made major improvements in their booth procedures over the last two years. It's up to CCI to stop people from cutting in line and hold up their responsibility, which unfortunately they seem unwilling to do. I've had my day ruined by line cutters before also and I hope CCI fixes it from here on out.

That big line cutting rush on Thursday, actually made the local news here in SD. I gotta give a big thumbs up to Funko, for the quick reaction to the little girl and her family that got pushed out.

Wow, I wonder if that publicity will help pressure CCI to change?
Also, I hadn't heard about Funko helping out a family and a girl that got cut in line, do you think there's a news clip out there of it? That's awesome of them to do that.

The lines were better this year, but I agree that CCI could do more. Cutters are everywhere at SDCC.

Meeting new people has been a great thing at sdcc. As for the lottery, I absolutely agree. It would be nice to know right away whether you can buy or not so you can try for other stuff you want. Hopefully one year

I see why people would be in favor of an online lottery. i mostly feel like line cutting needs to be handled.

Curious how people fared in getting the Nickelodeon Baxter Stockman. The Nickelodeon line was always capped once I came into the exhibit hall, was even in front by the escalators for Saturday morning but was still capped once I entered.

Online lotteries obviously have their issues too - but given how hard it is even to get a chance at the Funko booth, it's probably a better alternative.

Picked up my Stockman today. Boxed was damaged slightly but nothing compared to the horror stories/pics I've seen

dork_knight wrote:I was able to get into the Funko booth towards the end of preview night and picked up whatever they had left to helps some friends out. I got my Mr. Clarke & Megazord for myself, but the other 6 I picked up were for friends, including Mr. Toad, which they oddly had a lot of left over.
After preview night, I hopped in line for Thursday's Everything-Else line, in hopes that we could secure a spot in the Funko booth. I had my buddies who were all first-time SDCC attendees join me. All of us were trying for the Funko booth, but low-and-behold, by the time we get to the end of the line which was waaaay down the waterfront, the booth sold out.
We were in a good position too. First row of the second chute. There was no way, all those people were in line ahead of us. Found out that the General Admission line that was along the waterfront snuck into the Funko line due to poor line control. It was a sad experience for my first-time buddies. We were all able to help pick up some shared exclusives online and at Horton Plaza, at least.
None of them wanted to attempt the line for Friday, but I did. Same exact thing happened again. I felt sorry for the father and son I lined up with over night. They flew in all the way from Australia in hopes to get into the Funko booth.
That morning I heard something that really ticked me off. As a consolation prize, I hopped into the WB line. A guy was telling a group in front of me that they just needed to wait in the overflow area, and ask a volunteer which line is for what vendor and hop in. He apparently got there at 7:20 and just got in line. I would have snitched on him, but didn't have evidence to do it. I felt bad for this family from Mexico City that was behind me. It was their first time at SDCC and they were dejected once they heard the autograph session they wanted ran out.
Did not want to attempt the line Satuday, because I knew it would be a flop. I was right. Saw the pictures of chaos via Twitter.
I tried for Sunday, but the same exact thing happened. Tried to talk to Mark, one of the booth managers, but of course there was nothing he can do. Sucks because I really wanted to help those first-timers get what they wanted, like I was able to help folks the previous year.
It unfair for those who follow the correct procedures and get screwed over by cheaters. I didn't even want to attempt the Pop-up shop because I heard from a buddy who was waiting inline Tuesday afternoon that someone that secured a spot around 100, ended up being 160 by early Thursday morning.
I truly hope something can be done to fix these line procedures. I know it's not all on Funko, for the SDCC procedures, but something could have been done for the pop-up shop.
yeah the cheaters hit the autograph line hard as well, its a shame really, I can't believe it. Comic con needs to crack down harder on these people. I think they might have to change it to wristbands because losing out to a cheater really sucks.

Someone told me that the vendors were capping that line but I didn't try so I have no idea really. They also said that the limit for preview night was 5 and that they ran out halfway through the first line at the booth. They didn't even get to the line extension along the wall. But again, second hand info so take it with a grain of salt.

I was in line Thursday morning about 5:15am. By 4:30 we had just wrapped up the GoT Experience. The line was long for sure, but it also allowed plenty of opportunity to pick up a few SDCC items from the online store!
Overall, my experience was pretty good. I camped twice to get tickets to the Funko booth (no luck each time), but through many friends (old and new) I was able to get almost everything I was after. I'm still missing that Chrome Batman though which is a bit of a bummer as that's my primary figure in my collection (56 and counting).

I got to San Diego Thursday night, I was prob #20 in line at that point, so I camped out. Come to find out the next morning i was actually #146 of 200 for Saturday morning sales. When i got my wrist band i asked if i had a good enough number or if i should wait longer for a Sunday wrist band instead, but was assured that I'd be able to obtain all the pops, but not the shirts or soda pop; unfortunately this wasn't the case. After keeping line sat morning until past 1pm, most of the pops I wanted were gone. I was really bummed to say the least. Though I did get a couple of cool items. Guess ill need to get there on a monday next year. Lol

No GoT was gone first. My friend who was in shoot 1 under the sails tent was ousted by cheaters. He was 15 people away from drawing for it before they were gone. He settled for BBT even though we met them in 2012.

I managed to get no pops, but it was my own fault for it. Luna, I forgot about until she was already sold out online and I couldn't make it to a store to get her. Harry, I had issues with B&N (sure that's a shock to no one) until he was sold out and again, store sold out before I could make it there. I chalk it up to being my first year really being into pops and not being accustomed to how to handle Comic Con exclusives. Oh well, now I know for next year.

Don't feel bad. The con has many disappointments for everyone! Legion was like one of my top priorities. Went around the line twice for it and lost both times on the stupid coin flip app Fox was running. I even went with tails twice. Ugh!!! At least I met Riverdale, Gotham, Excorcist, American Dad and made it to three Conan shows with my friends.

Re: So how did your SDCC Pop Hunting Go?
I know I'm a little late to the party, but I did very well, mainly online. I tried every single day, to get a booth ticket, but my luck was not with me. The only issue I had was the package I bought from GameStop, the idiot UPS guy threw the box on the porch during a blistering thunder storm, and didn't bother to bag it. It soaked through the box, and soaked my R2-D2/Leia 2 pack, to the point there was actual water in the head of Leia, Mint Berry Crunch, and Mr. Clarke. All the rest were ok, but it was still annoying. UPS told me I had to take it up with GameStop, and GameStop isn't replying to messages. Go figure.

Yeah that was the day I was doing for Fox, the legion autographs, I was in line since 4. Didnt even get to the line because someone in sails told me "limited signings" was the same as the fox line.
