SDCC 2016 Dorbz Discussion!

Nooooooo! Why must the Wreck It Ralph set be a 750 limited edition. I'm gonna have to stalk Popcultcha and Forbidden Planet for these like I had to for the Futurama Pops 2 pack.

I know the Futurama 2-pack was numbered, so you think there's a chance the Dorbz will go online as well? They're all I want from all four waves so far.

Yeah there's a chance. The Futurama pack sold out within minutes pretty much every time it was listed anywhere online (I remember quite well because that was one I was actively hunting), but I don't think Dorbz have reached that level of popularity yet so I suspect that they won't be too tough to find online. People think that ALL the numbered editions are going to be impossible to find at a reasonable price, but that's not always the case. The 1/500 SDCC Lil Gruesomes sat on Gemini for weeks! The 1/300 NYCC Ricochet Rabbits were pretty easy to find too. So just because it has a number on it doesn't necessarily mean it'll be highly sought after.

I ended up getting the Futurama 2 pack from Forbidden Planet last year. You just to keep in mind the conversion from pounds to dollars and the shipping from the UK. You will pay a little more, but it will be cheaper than eBay. A lot of people like Popcultcha from Australia, but I always have their site crash when SDCC stuff goes up.

I live in Europe so actually getting it from Forbidden Planet would be a pleasant surprise for me because no customs and low shipping! I order from Popcultcha a lot and I know they'll probably get most exclusives in again. I just didn't know they would get limited quantities of numbered exclusives as well which would be awesome! I really don't want anything but the Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope dorbz so far, which is funny because I don't really collect dorbz.

Yeah, I know it depends on the product's popularity how fast it will sell out, and even if dorbz still haven't reached pop-ularity (see what I did there) status my biggest concern is the rate Funko is growing at! That's why I think Exclusives this year will be a lot harder to hunt down than last year! I still think there's a huge gap between 2015 and 2016 Funko. But let's hope for the best and that everyone gets what they want at a reasonable price!

I wanted to buy all these sdcc dorbz until I saw the Conan pops. Now I will go for the wreck it ralph set and hope the others show up in retailers or ebay at a decent price.

So far no Dorbz I NEED. I'm hoping we'll get Pops of Batman Returns, but if not I may have to splurge for those Dorbz someday, I NEED that version of Catwoman. As for Deadpool, I think I'm good with Dorbz of him, thankfully, but it's cool.

I know it's crazy! I guess the Batman pack and Vanellope have been the only ones that don't have a limited number.

So far I think Funko has stepped up their SDCC game with Dorbz. I'm excited about so many of them. I have to have Vanellope, the Wreck-It-Ralph 3 pack, the Alice set, the Burton Batman set, and the Deadpool. The other Dorbz are great, too! I can't wait to see what else shows up in the next waves. I really hope we see a Freddy for sale and/or at Fundays.

If there were to be non numbered Dorbz I thought it. would have been Deadpool. This tells me that it's highly unlikely this year.

Definitely a lot more dorbz representation than last year. The size, packaging and available licenses make it a comparable collectible to the pop where the larger and more expensive items like Vinyl Idolz and Hikaris haven't thrived quite as much.
