Similar to the Yellow Submarine Pops, I would like to see more pops from music videos, images, covers. The cowboys from Primus Wynona's, the schoolmaster from Pink Floyd's The Wall, and the Wish You Were Here album cover. Even mash em up a bit and put Mick in the Sticky Fingers Warhol jeans or Jerry's face on a Dancing Bear.
I would also like to see Pops of the artists/creators as their characters. Unmasked Stan Lee as Spiderman, McFarlene as Spawn, Frank Oz as Yoda, Lucas in Stormtrooper disguise.
If we have the cereal gang, why not a few Milton Bradley or Parker Brothers? Monopoly guy, Operation Patient (with funny shaped holes and red transparent nose), Rock'em Sock'ems, Candyland gingerbread pieces.
Spaceballs while you're at it.
Older Disney characters, like from Donald Duck in Mathamagic Land, Brier Rabbit, Fox and the Hound, Old Yeller, Apple Dumpling Gang, Marry Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Sunday Comics - We are getting Peanuts, but what about Marmaduke, Garfield, Calvin and Hobbes, Heathcliff, Dennis the Menace, Mr. Magoo
NFL and MLB mascots/players/HoFers at the stadiums. Throwback jerseys for players other variants based on events (Only available during the World Series or Superbowl Sunday) Example: Pirates and the Astros are in the WS. At the game fans can get variant LE Pirates and Astros Pops. However, in northern California (3000 miles from Pittsburg, 1500 from Houston), that stuff won't sell as good as if Hot Topic or B&N got Giants and A's Limited Edition #'d Pops in throwback/alternate jerseys released during game 3 of the Series. Even the mini pack would work. The options for "lazy variants" is wide open. Various jerseys (home, away, Friday, throwback, world series, playoffs, 4th of July, memorial day camo, HoF, etc), with glove, with pine bat, with black bat, with catcher's mask, with batter's helmet, with bubble gum bubble. I don't think that flocked or GITD would work here, but metallic could work. Maybe a GITD bat or home plate stand (like the Star Wars figures have). All of this would also apply to NFL or NHL. Just make sure that the distribution is regionally targeted. Otherwise, like the Starting Lineup figures you end up with a ton of NY Giants figures as peg warmers in LA.
