Good thing funko makes loads of products. I will get one to see it in person but my first instinct is a pass on this line.

I am still loving this line! I can see how it may not be for everyone, but my personal attachment to video games makes me love the pixel-ness of these pieces! And the new TMNT figures for NYCC?? fuggedaboutit! Turtles in Time was my jam! Gotta have all of em!

Dig Dug is pretty cool! I'd love to see more retro game characters get the 8-bit treatment.

Only Batman catches my eye at the moment, dig dug is neat but I'm too young and never played that game. The main characters I think of in 8 bit are all Nintendo so I doubt we will ever see them.

For me it will be largely dependent on the characters as well. For instance, I would love Mega Man.

I'm pretty meh about them - it would be a cute idea on classic games like Donkey Kong or Burger Time but seeing the glams just doesn't sell me on this.

Hopefully that's just a glam mistake, but he's still awesome!

In my humble opinion, THIS is what 8-Bit Pops should be reserved for. If Funko really wants this line to take off (and judging by their enormous push lately, I think they really do), they need to start giving us variants like these that seriously compliment the 8-bit style.

I think that's why I'm still seeing Batman and Shredder in GameStop shelves, and why people were downright confused by the 8-bit Stranger Things Pops. 8-Bit is a style that tackles a very niche nostalgia, and I think these NES Horror variants will help prove that.

The PAC-MAN line is ripe for the treatment, as are (maybe to a slightly lesser extent) Street Fighter. Give us AvP Arcade color variants of the Alien and Predator. Maybe some 8-bit Sonic. This style could be popular if Funko plays their cards a tiny bit smarter. These are a step in the right direction though.

Completely agree. The 8-bit concept is a perfect match for something like the NES Krueger and Voorhees. Pac-Man also lends itself to this format perfectly, as do any games from the 80's.
