I got 6 pops for about $6 each. Six of my students will get a smile on their face and possibly a new obsession. I'll get to be the cool teacher for about 5 minutes. Win/Win.

I got my box today and opened it just now...the only two I am ok with are Gidget, and the queen of hearts...I already have DOTD Jack, and not interested in the others, but they are ok. I was hoping for mockinjay Katniss or Fire Katniss and got the one Katniss I didn't want. I am new to this, so lesson learned. I won't be buying another of these in the future. They got the money this time, but it won't work again in the future for me. On a positive note they will get donated so hopefully they will get some love

My delivery was delayed a day even though it was on the truck out for delivery at 3 AM yesterday! I will update when it finally arrives!

got my box and I'm also disappointed. I expected a few that I wouldn't want but was hoping since it was from FUNKO that there would be something exclusive or HTF. Oh well, lesson learned. We should really start a trading thread for these pops.

I did read the disclaimer and that's why I thinks it is kind of shady. FUNKO said it was random and could be from ANY of there lines . Obviously that was not the case since everyone got something from the same 8 lines. I know the chance of getting a exclusive was slim . But they did not mix up any lines at all. My friend bought 2, and they were almost exactly like mine. He got a michonnes pet 2 and I got a dory instead. The rest was exactly the same pops.

I posted this in Eye but here is what I got:

I mentioned this before but I panic-bought the box because I was stuck in a meeting, got out and checked the shop and thought I might miss out on a "Funko mystery box" if I didn't act fast. When I saw "mystery" I assumed this was a box of new exclusives similar to the GS or HT boxes. I checked out, breathed a sigh of relief, then read the description and knew right away I had just thrown my money away. Lesson learned- take a few seconds to read before buying.

Well, I doubt I'll buy another commons mystery box from anywhere. I was too excited to buy it since I thought maybe they'd sell out super fast. I got my box today, and it's pretty much the same as everyone eles's. Was crossing my fingers to get the one from Warcraft I needed, plus one of the two from Pets, and the one I need left from Hunger Games. Alas, it did not happen that way. =oP Maybe this means I can get them really cheap, though? lol

Got my bargain bin mystery box: Peeta, Lothar (warcraft), Queen of Hearts, agent 13, c-3po, Duke from secret life of pets. My daughter will like Duke, and at least I got something star wars I don't already have. Queen of hearts looks pretty cool even though I wasn't interested in the movie.

you win some, you lose some. I probably should have known that 'perfect for new collectors' = basement sale. I need to get less afraid of missing out!

I agree 100% We knew our chances were slim and we still bought them. So just like you all mine are going to Toys For Tots and I have some for Chips For Kids (that's California Highway patrol toy collection) :freddy2:

What were the two exclusives? The Conan Superman and which other?

The way I see it, I've seen maybe 50-100 pics of peoples boxes and I'm assuming well over 1000 were sold. If you do the math, that leaves well over 90% that I didn't see. Not everyone that bought one is on social media, so the number of people who received a 'special' piece might be skewed. That's just my opinion. I didn't buy the box because of what the description said, so I haven't actively been seeking pictures of boxes either. The 50-100 I've personally seen are from this sight and IG.

Someone mentioned that their friend got Ghostbusters Conan. So two Conan's and the rest commons. Still, the Conan's this year were pretty sweet! LOVE my Stormtrooper Conan.

I don't buy mystery items or boxes in general due to them possibly having a large percentage of items I don't want. This is in part due to my having limited space in general, and its easier for me to store/have mystery minis overall.

I don't think they literally meant new collector. More like someone who might have started a few months ago, follows the company but doesn't necessarily own a bunch of pieces. I know a lot of us hit the ground running when we started but I'm sure there are a lot of folks who didn't.

I don't know...I think it's going to be hard to change the mind of those people who felt Funko truly lied and deceived them.

I just feel like there were a LOT of warning signs with the item. It seems like a lot of people latched on to a possible exclusive, without really taking to heart what the rest of the ad said... which was "no guarantee".

I get people are upset and vanilla over this, I'm more talking about the people who are CLEARLY raging about it.

I guess also, this was in the vain of Cyber Monday... so maybe they expected people to by this as gifts for people?

for the record I don't think they lied or deceived, not like the promises anything special out of the box. just saying I fully understand why folks are disappointed in this offering.

This is exactly what I've been saying. I didn't buy one because I could see what it was, but I am kinda surprised there was basically no variety in the boxes. It was even more of a cleaning out dead weight than I thought.

That too! It's not too difficult to find the Funko shop and search for a nice Cyber Monday deal as a Christmas gift.

That would have been awesome to have got one of those few exclusives but Funko did say something along the lines that a "few" lucky people would get an exclusive, so I didn't feel lied to. My mystery box was all commons but I donated them to my Emergency Dept for any peds patients.

I didn't buy one since I'm saving all my luck to get SDCC badges. I am enjoying the pictures that everyone is posting of what they got. I'm living vicariously through them. I do see it as gift potential, I'm famous for giving them away to non collectors who love the genre.

The subscription boxes offer a better chance for excitement and surprise. That and the Funko Store/Shop offerings. I am glad I passed on this one because I figured it would be pretty difficult to score a really good piece.

I was salty over this box. Then my Yummy Mummy Dorbz came in and I remembered why I love Funko, so much awesomeness there :-)

There are going to be hits and there are going to be misfires. I'm not going to let a misfire now and then take away from my joy of collecting the great stuff :-)

My gf took a couple to give as gifts and I took the others to the toy box at my gym. I can't take it all with me when I die anyway lol
