If Funko announced ONE new rule tomorrow, what should it be?

Postby StrangerPOPs » Mon Feb 16, 2026 3:40 pm

Okay Funatics, you can pick one rule you’d force Funko to follow going forward.

I’ll start: Funko should cap the number of variants per character per year (example: max 3). Some characters get milked into oblivion while other lines get ignored.

Your turn, whats your ONE rule?

I think it would be cool if they increased the print rates of all the chase funkos, i think the chance of chase should be 1:2.

Rule: Only exclusives get rid of the online fluff. My collection only consists of limited hard to get stuff. Everything gets botted.

I don’t really care about value. Just low quantites but I guess that relates to value.

I am curious if exclusives were easier to get but still labeled limited, would that ruin it for you or is it mostly about the chase factor?

Yeah but if quantity goes down the value tends to go up. Look at all the SDCC funkos

Mostly the chase factor. I forgot to mention the glow in the dark pops are my favorite.

Yep, I believe Funko did that with the Valerian chase and it didn't go well. To me, a chase that's 1:2 is not a chase it's just a variant. 1:6 seems decent enough and isn't as bad as the old 1:36 (?) way back in the day. However, I guess you could argue for 1:4 with reduced demand now.

My one sort of a rule, would be to have funatics vote on "missing" characters to be released. While some lines have a ton of variants (Star Wars, TMNT, Friends, etc.), there are other lines that have missing characters and it would be cool if funatics could vote on a couple releases each year to help complete sets. They could do like the Jason Kelce Pop! a couple years ago and presale the character that wins the vote that way they aren't left with too much inventory, but still have enough for the funatics that want that specific character.
