I assume you’ve been to their brewery numerous times?

Yep I have.

I work dangerously close to the collection of breweries all throughout Mira Mesa/Miramar. It’s definitely a Mecca for me, but going back to work on Friday afternoons can be a bit counterproductive. lol

I would be the same way. When I was single years ago and karl strauss had a good happy hour, me and buddies from work would go there all the time and drink and eat good food.

I heard Earl of Sandwich will be closing down soon. :(

Large order of beignets please. Sucks b/c Earl's was fast, cheap and definitely good. Nothing like that in DD anymore.

I'm hoping they relocate Earl of Sandwich somewhere else in the park. I don't know how you make the call to remove one of the more popular restaurants from your park.. Well I guess I can understand the ability to another hotel and more paying customers :D

It would make sense for them to relocate it somewhere in DD or in the new hotel. It's always busy! Looks like i have a month to go and eat there before it goes away.

There is an Earl's in downtown LA, but not open on weekends. And only open for breakfast and lunch on weekdays. :/ Plus it's not the same when it was in Downtown Disney.

First Earl's I ever went to was in the Downtown Disney in Orlando!

They're considering putting inside the new hotel, but even if that happens you'll still be on the beignet diet for a while.

I told some friends that I want to go to Star Wars land and stay at the connecting hotel. Then I’ll never leave character all week.

I'm definitely planning to splurge when it comes out and do the whole nine yards. Hopefully we get a firm date for opening soon! I imagine tickets/reservations are going to be hard to come by.

Well they said Summer of 2019 so I don't know if that means June or July, so you gotta time your pass accordingly. I have one and will probably keep it through the opening of Star Wars land and then end it. There is a rumor going around they will charge extra just to go to that land, dunno if it's true, but if so, I guarantee they build it into the pass price options as well, oof.

Isn’t it a certainty that passes go up in price every year even without the addition of a massive attraction like Star Wars Land? I’m bracing for a massive price hike for my family next year.

I'm getting the pass mostly for this summer and the Pixar fest next year. If I can get into Star Wars land on it, bonus. I'm honestly anticipating having to pay extra for it though.

With the way they keep changing up Downtown Disney that doesn't seem like a guarantee either.

Better make your next order and Extra Large, who knows when they might decide to replace the place.

I heard that rumor as well. However I think I heard that possibly the top two tiers of the annual pass will actually get access into star wars land. The lower tier passes will have to pay extra....I'm a lower tier pass holder...so it sucks because we already have to pay so much for the pass...and the thought of even more for just another extension of the park? Also...eventually they are opening up for all the passes, so it sucks that if you have the pass for next year, there's a chance you are restricted from this park unless you buy a pass but then the following year you will get to go as you please...

Disney are the masters of "Captive Market Economics".

They know the demand amongst their fans is not very elastic, and thus they can set their market prices at whatever point they want, without risk of losing too much. There is probably a breaking point somewhere, but with all the hype of opening/expanding a new land, demand will be so great they can basically do what they want.

Yep pretty much. This is why I will do what it takes to keep my pass at the second highest level just so I can go enjoy disneyland and everything it has to offer.

The price points did seem to hit that leveling off point. On days where lower passes are blacked out, the park is far less crowded than it used to be. Massive crowds on lower pass days but even that is less than it once was. I think until Star Wars opens, the amount of passholders will continue to diminish given the prices, but Disney knows many people will buy passes because of Star Wars and raise the price of all passes. Give it's anywhere between Feb. and May when they usually raise prices, I would recommend a fall purchase this year to Jan. of next year to avoid any potential price hike.

Isn’t it a certainty that passes go up in price every year even without the addition of a massive attraction like Star Wars Land? I’m bracing for a massive price hike for my family next year.

I'm on a September-October refresh cycle myself. Recharge right before Nightmare hits the Haunted Mansion.

Oh then you are good to go.
