Big Bang Theory Pops are so much $$$ :( Probably why there isn't a line of Seinfield Pops, licensing must be crazy!

Have any of you ever gotten a Common Pop and it turned into a "Grail" completely unexpectedly?
If so, which one of the pops from your collection turned into a Grail?

Not sure if they qualify as "grail" but Stranger Things Steve with bat and Upside Down Will jumped in value lately. Scare Glow was a common inititally too but I never got it at retail.

Edit: Come to think of it, none of these were plain commons, either convention exclusives or store exclusives. =;

I think the biggest jump for a pop I personally didn't expect (but owned) was the Leia Boushh unmasked. I bought it right after SDCC for my best friend's bday for less than $80. now it's over 400, I believe.

I was shocked about Sam from Trick r' Treat. Usually when I talk about the film no one has seen it.

Two I can think of, off the top of my head are CM Punk, and Sloth from The Goonies.

I have to agree with the Friends Pops. Liked the show so bought the Pops. Now they're worth 50 bucks each.

The first wave of Masters of the Universe all seemed to turn into grails. I'm still kicking myself for not picking them up when they first came out.

Yesss I’m totally regretting not getting Steve at the time when I was at SDCC. I was saying to myself that I won’t go crazy and start on Stranger Things, but Steve is the only one I care about!

I mainly buy what I like, and overtime they turn into vaulted grails. Like my thundercats set, and early heman figures. Also, all my early Pixar purchases. I never thought a single character or mold can stop being made so I never had that desire to buy everything that can possibly turn grail. I just buy what I like and buy them early so I dont have to pay ebay prices for them in the future.

When I first started looking at POP!s I ran into a Reggae Rasta for $5 in some “randoms” bin at a local convention. Who isn’t a fan of Bob Marley? I picked it up and offered it up my friend who started collecting too. He passed. So I got it. Told my more seasoned POP collector friend about it while at the con and he flipped out in excitement. (At the time it was worth $30-$40). Years later I traded it for cash and other POP!s because the funds were low but the collecting was in full effect. Man did it jump over the years. Cool to have had it in my possession for a bit. But looking at its current worth, wow, just crazy what I found for $5!
Did someone say, Disney POP!s?

I know right. I remember getting Monica on clearance. I even gave a set to my sister in law because she's the biggest fan of the show.

I gotta go with Mayor. He’s always been one of my favorite pops. He was one of the most detailed back then like how his ribbon says mayor on it and the spiders painted on, also how the head spins to reveal his other face is just perfect!Image

I’m really happy we got this one when it was released, I remember going to Hot Topic the day this released just for this one. I was actually surprised not as many people in line were interested in him when I left that day there were quite a few left still. Seems like over night he went up in price.

Nobody cared about Steve then Season 2 changed that. Sometimes you never really know which one will blow up.

Some of the first Pops I ever bought were Winnie the Pooh, Master Chief, Blue Spartan, Cortana, and the original Avengers set. I would consider most of those grails.

It surprises me the stories people are sharing about these grails. I don't often pay that close attention to the value over time. Granted, it's not like I have pops from 10 years ago... but I have a few that are like 5 years old or so. I have to check them out.

Some really cool stories! Thanks!

One of my wife's grails she actually got at FDO6. It was Tate Langdon. He was a leftover none else wanted on the prize table. Linsey loves the show so she was happy to take him :) now he has a little value to him

I do love that. When it's been sitting on your shelf and then you happen to check ebay to see it's worth a ton? It's a fun feeling
