Went to my Walmart after I got off work today and still nothing. So sad

VICTORY AND TRIUMPH!! Hit up BN tonight to see if they've gotten the common cases, since my Walmart is mocking me. Found a case of 11, and one was definitely Cull Obsidian, so I weighed the rest, and counted out which I thought were the commons. Not counting Cull, I had 3 I was wondering about - either Black Panther, Dr. Strange, or Thor (ugh...no more Thors!). Bought the 4, ran to the car to open - 1 Cull, 1 Gamora (what is going on with Gamora...her weight is really all over the place!). 2 left...really hoping the one missing was a Thor....so I open the 1st, and HUZZAH!! Dr. Strange!!!! The happy dance and squeals were impressive, let me tell you!!

(and I returned that last box, since I KNOW he is yet another Thor!)

Now seriously, Walmart...get it together!

You pulled Cull AND Strange from the same case? Maybe the box ratios are screwed up like the Trollhunters series.

Does somebody have an in box weight for Cull Obsidian? How heavy is he on a scale of Thanos to Hulkbuster? I'm going hunting at 5-10 different places on Friday and want to know what to look for.

My Cull was 87.6. Someone else in the thread said 85.78. Not sure how heavy Hulkbuster is — I haven’t found a weight for it yet. But Cull was noticeably heavier than anything else in the case, including the two Thanos boxes.

Something else: Not sure if anyone scrambled the case layout before I got there, but my Cull was on the top layer, and the two Thanos boxes were the back row of the bottom layer.

Score! Yeah, he’s one of those characters you know you have as soon as you pick up the box. I was actually debating on skipping this series entirely because of all the chase exclusives, but when I saw the case at Barnes & Noble, picked up the first box, and realized how heavy it was, I thought: “This is prob a 1/72 character, so go for it now or you’ll regret it.”

I also bought a 54.0 box hoping it was Spidey, but I got Hulk. I’m not complaining. I’m just trying to avoid the 1/6 characters as looong as possible.

My hulkbuster was 105.8. It's very distinct and easy to pick out, barely shakes in the box.

I actualey thought it was Hulkbuster because somebody else got me Hulkbuster, so I never felt how heavy he actualey was in box. I was actualey more happy because I wanted Cull and didn't really need another Hulkbuster (although the trade bait would have been nice)

Yes, ratios are screwed up. Cull is 1/24 and Hulkbuster is 1/72.

Went to 4 different Walmarts today - 3 had absolutely nothing. The last one, that I went to on a whim, had 1 case, with 3 already gone. Took a chance, and bought 5. 1 Hulk, 2 Ebony Maw, 1 Thor, and Iron Man exclusive 1/36!! Thrilled with my new Iron Man - that means I have the Iron Man trifecta for this set!

Of course, now I'll always wonder what was in those missing 3 boxes..!

Congrats on the Iron Man! I wish I had patience to go looking for one. With my luck I'd just end up with a bunch of commons

Thank you! My patience is fast running out with this set, with so many minis having such similar weights. Very frustrating. I do enjoy the success and the hunt...but wow that dup pile is growing fast!

Yeah, from what I've been hearing and seeing, Cull is mislabeled on the case, and he's actually a 1/24. I did find him at both B&Ns that I went looking at, so I'd say he's definitely more common than a 1/72!

Someone posted a Falcon in the Facebook groups and he looks so cool. He's definitely one I'll be looking for.

In my opinion, there just isn't enough of a difference between him and Civil War Falcon to warrant the hunt and doubles.

Admittedly, I don't have the CW Falcon (got into minis after that batch), but I really like the style of the newer minis. Really hoping I can either find a Falcon, or trade for one. At this point, the duplcates are ridiculous...so what's a few more? (Shhh....don't tell my bank account!)

I'd put odds that they are either 1/24 or 1/36. I've found an equal number of both (4), and given the amount of boxes I've weighed, 1/36 would fit. Either way I agree that Cull is not 1/72.

Both are ridiculously easy to find, don't even need a scale. Hulkbuster is probably top 3 in my overall weights list across over 100 minis (off top of my head Merida is by far the heaviest, Thor dog [Fenris] is just above Hulkbuster)

Outrider is heavy. Mine was 73.5 or so. Not quite as heavy as Obsidian. Awesome looking mini.

Cull is supposedly 1/24, I have found enough of him that I believe it. I have yet to find a hulkbuster. Also my Dr. Strange was heavier than I have seen others get him at, 53.6.

One of my local Walmart's had four cases out on the shelf, but none were the exclusive cases. I managed to find two Culls and six others, including five 1/6's. This set is really testing my patience...

Outrider also doesn't move in the box at all. The way the arms stick out and the way the things on his head stick up make it so he basically doesn't shake in the box at all.

Sounds like he's about 10g heaver, which is noticeable but sometimes not entirely. Both are worth decent for trading so its not a huge loss. My point was more you don't need a scale for the top few.

Some people feel its cheating, other's won't buy any without weighing. For the sets where everything is 1/12 I think its OK to go without, but given the crazy amount of 1/6 published lately its hard to argue that its unfair to use a scale. Leave the 1/6 for the non-collectors wanting a trinket, let the collectors get the sets with scales.

This definitely seems to be the case. There is definitely more Falcons out there than winged Iron Man’s. This could change down the road but I think this assessment is right
