NYCC Exclusives 2017

I went to B&N this morning and there were about 10 ppl ahead of me in line. By the time I got to the table, all the chrome Batmans were gone. Some people bought 2. I wish the manager had limited it to 1 each since there was a line. And he worst part is they're not expecting to get any more Batmans in, so that was it.

I did pick up a Jyn Erso since I was already there, so at least I didn't leave empty handed. I even used a 20% off coupon. But still sad. Hopefully one of the online orders from last night comes through somehow.

Went to B&N this morning at opening and of course, the Chrome Batman's were gone immediately. Glad I called my Hot Topic to reserve my Dragonzord cause they were gone pretty early too.

This just happened to us as well. Saw ppl walking out with multiples of course. Ah well...

Only two balrogs, but only one person in front of me wanted one!

So no Scrooge for me . The store didn't put them out last night. Someone asked at the cashier about him, he brought out three boxes. It looked like at least one box was common scrooge I saw him give one to the person that asked at the cashier. Nobody else got one, but somehow by the time I got there he said they had no more.

Does anyone else know if their store got lots of scrooge? People in the store were saying not a lot of hot topic stores got scrooge. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and maybe he gave the guy a common scrooge since he was fine with common.

Was able to get goofy, donald, and the mini hikari two pack from box lunch. 3 out of 4 is not bad. Scrooge was my main priority though .

Although, experience at hot topic store was great. No flippers buying up all the merchandise. It seemed like it was mostly collectors.

My B&N had all the NYCC Pops behind the registers. Seemed like a simple solution to prevent running.

I think the two per person limit was a storewide mandate. Probably not up to the manager.

A few people are posting that their stores didn't get the KH Donald or Goofy. My local store posted pics on FB but it didn't look like much.
I was able to order online when they first dropped which worked out great because I couldn't leave work this morning

Yeah dragonzord, goofy, and donald seem like lowest inventory. No flippers really showed up early at my hot topic so I was happy.

I had a very successful NYCC Pop hunt. Got both of my wants, Jyn Erso and Lyanna Mormont. Helps make up for the lousy SDCC I had.

Before heading to my local B&N, I learned on here about there being a 20% off coupon that I could use. Thank you to the person who posted that info! I went on my computer to find it and print it, and as soon as I had the coupon loaded on the screen... the power went out... and stayed out for about 15 min. Not a good start to my day. Felt like a bad omen, but luckily it wasn't. I was finally able to get back on and get the coupon printed. When I got to the store they just had a small table set up near their regular Pop display. Despite the small table, the Pops were stacked up high enough that there were a ton of Death Star Droids and the Fantastic Beasts guy. Only half as many Jyns and Saws, however, and no Batman or Balrog. I got there a little late, but the way things were displayed, I don't believe they ever had Batman or Balrog. There was simply no room. For whatever reason, every single Jyn box had a nice big dent in the back of the box, with the exception of one. That's of course the one I bought. It also had a good paint job, which was only one of a few that had a good paint job. The others had issues with black paint smearing underneath one of the eyes, which I had a feeling would be an issue with this one. Also one had incomplete paint on an eye. The boxes for the other three Pops looked pristine, it was just Jyn that had that issue. I'm hoping there wasn't some malicious intent involved by someone. I saved a few dollars on my Jyn thanks to the coupon, so I'm happy about that. The DS Droid looks great in-person, and I considered getting that one as well, but I talked myself out of it. I didn't want to buy more than the two I went to the mall for, and I'm also trying to be extremely selective and limit what I get from Rogue One, due to the disappointment I have for that movie.

After B&N I headed to FYE. I passed on checking HT and GS on the way, since they didn't have any shared exclusives I wanted. In the past I would look at them anyway just for the heck of it, but I decided not to this time around. At FYE I checked the big main Pop section first... nothing. They still had some SDCC exclusives left, which were always in the main section, so I figured the NYCC exclusives would be there too if they had them. I walked around the rest of the store, checking all the little themed Pop sections that are sprinkled throughout, and as I was about done, past the registers I came across a new island display full of random Pops, with to my surprise, Lyanna and Zack Ryder sitting on top! 4 of each. All of the boxes were in great shape, so I just had to pick out the best paint job for Lyanna. Not the easiest decision, as they all had hair paint that was either painted too far or not far enough. Also one had brown grease on her face, that almost made it look like she had facial hair. I got the one that looked the best.

I'm very happy and surprised to score both of my wants. I wasn't expecting to find anything at FYE. They've let me down in the past, but not today. It's the first time they've had con exclusives when they open on con hunting day. It was a pleasant NYCC hunt.

You know, I've been feeling, hearing and seeing this a ton. Besides the B&N Quintuple charges, everything seems relatively painless (besides people getting little sleep and having to take off work to go to the stores).

For me personally, I got 2/3 of my top wants, Black Chrome Batman and First Doctor, and the 3rd is Freddy of Liberty, which hasn't gone live yet. I was also able to get a Bogart as Snape to save for a Holiday present for my Sister and I got a Bone Daddy, which looks really cool and that I could potentially trade for Freddy of Liberty if I miss that one.

Just noticed that Speedy's name is misspelled on the Funko Shop. I got nervous about the name on the box but that one looks to be right.

I'd love to get my hands on him. Major finger crossing (and refusing to leave my computer) going on over here!
