For anyone in the area, he's the guy with the giant wall of Pop running along the outside of their booth. You can preorder it by sending $25 to their paypal Toysmania888@gmail.com with a limit of 3 per household.

I'm gonna pass because I'm not down with just sending money through Paypal and hoping my preorder arrives. If you can't afford a legit way through a website to sell this then you probably shouldn't have an exclusive IMO.

Funko doesn't "give" people exclusives like blessings from on high. Anyone with a Funko retail account and enough money can produce whatever exclusive they want and distribute it wherever they want.

So I read the post on Instagram. It's some guy who says to send him $25 or $27 if you want a pop protector. Gives his PayPal. No official order form or receipt. Yes, I know you're protected with PayPal. Also l, just says a limited number of pre orders available but doesn't share how many and hasn't updated the post with anymore information.

There isn't any mention of these being limited so I imagine their shop at Franks is gonna have these after Anime Expo. I flip-flop between whether I want one or not because I already have the regular version and am not a big Voltron fan already. I may cave in if I ever run across it at their shop.

Thanks for the info, I ordered one. I don't care if it's "legit" or not, a metallic Voltron? Count me in! I do already have one Voltron that's kinda cool though

If you've got the money and business know how to get an exclusive piece from Funko and participate in a good sized convention like that, I can't personally see why you wouldn't have the good sense to organize at least a two page website to take orders if you're also offering them online. I love the piece and want one as well, but I'm weary of the process even with PayPal involved. I'm a small retailer myself and I'm happy to see a little guy get a decent exclusive but jeez Louise, crawl before you walk and get a little shopify site going so things look legit and people can purchase with confidence. Am I wrong?

No I agree with you 100%. Posting you have something on instagram and telling people to send money to a paypal address just seems scammy even if it isn't a scam. I like this piece and alot of trusted sources are saying its legit but I'll personally pass. I mean its Voltron so he'll prolly make his money back but how many people is he gonna have to refund and how long is that going to take?
