Harry Potter Series 2 (Mystery Minis)

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

Thats how I felt with the second series, I started the first very late. I thought I would never get the barns Dumbledore, when I started the 1st series he was at 125-150 and I was content to be with out him but then Barns did a massive wave of restocks, I still have hope Hot topic will do the same.

It's like they have multiple personalities and different trains of thought... One of the big bosses likes all 1/12s, another likes making the exclusives the 1/6s, and another is an evil &*@#^*@# that likes to screw their fans over with 4 1/6s and making the exclusives super rares...

Fingers crossed that this time they are nice to us as I won't be buying them if they screw us again...

The case is probably this one: https://www.containerstore.com/s/collec ... d=10022884

They are really nice for minis and pints! They come with some little blocks that you can stack to get different heights.

Nice... really jealous that we can't get that larger three level sized display container from CS over here... We can get a smaller two row max, which is good for half a collection or pints, but that's it...

The worst ones have to be tracking the B&N ones. But at this point will never own Buckbeak.

Take some comfort in that you were able to go 4 for 4 on B&N, at least! I think you're, unfortunately, in good company on the Buckbeak hunt. I still check every HT I go in to to see if I can help someone here out. Haven't seen any cases at HT lately - tons at BoxLunch though. Not that that helps anyone except with commons... ](*,)

Still trying to decide if I want to complete Series 2. I was looking at two brand new cases at B&N. An employee saw me and said I should bring a scale. I started laughing.

Let me guess - S2 missing Buckbeak and Trevor, S1 missing Yule Ball Hermione and the flocked pets? ;)

I don't have the Puff anymore, either :( All I need is Trevor and he (knock wood) should be on the way.

Oh, I have Arnold too. I was actually interested in your Merperson.

Incidentally, if anyone has a spare Neville (or Sirius), let me know. My two Barnes & Nobles got in six cases, and every single one had Ginny instead of Neville. So I still have four Ginnys that I’m trying to swap out.

Oh, I gotcha. I have an extra Selkie, actually, but there are two people ahead of you :-\

Found a full box today and as well as adding to my herd of thestrals (doh!) I finally found Bellatrix! I also picked up a grindylow, which is an amazing sculpt and one I wasn't really bothered about finding until it was in my hand and I wondered why I hadn't been searching for it before!

I know I'll never be able to find the store exclusives and I would have loved to find Ginny or Neville, unless I hit up eBay, so I'm only looking for two from the common set now.

Congrats on Bellatrix and the Grindylow! Haven't seen any wild boxes lately, so you got lucky twice over!

So who're you missing from the common set now? Selkie and Pixie?

I've pulled multiples of her at or very close to 73.5. Although I've gotten one at 70.6, as well, but I'm treating that one as an aberration.

Dragons (and only dragons) are 74 grams and above.

It is hard to find without finding a fresh, untouched case. It should be in one of the middle spots (probably bottom row) if it's new.

Came in on this series late but I my last one should be coming in the mail any day now! After a few lucky pulls at the stores - got most of the B&N exclusives that way - I figured I'd have more luck buying the ones I'm missing online.

Okay - heads up! Looks like some B&N are restocking the HP S2 minis! There was a completely fresh case at my BN tonight - untouched and pristine! Nothing in the range of Puff or Toad, so I left it for the next collector - wasn't taking a chance trying for a Neville or Ginny! Good luck everyone, happy hunting!
