Why no Freddy Funko mystery mini?
If there are some I've never seen them. But I was curious as to why there hasn't been any yet. I think it would be fine to have a point size version.

I think a Freddy Funko mystery mini series would be awesome. That sounds like the perfect kind of thing for Funko to sell direct from their site, too.

Re: Why no Freddy Funko mini?
I would like to see a Freddy mystery mini line along the lines that they do a lot of the Freddy pops, where they have him dressed as other characters, maybe choosing a representative for various franchises/fandoms; something like...
Star Wars - Vader Freddy
Marvel - Capt. America Freddy
DC - Superman Freddy
Star Trek - Capt. Freddy
Star Wars - Vader Freddy
Marvel - Capt. America Freddy
DC - Superman Freddy
Star Trek - Capt. Freddy

I would be in! I feel like if they threw in random freddys in mini boxes all over, there would be tons of sales, instead of a fundays mini box! Either way I'd be stoked!

I am sad to say they would not sell, Freddy is such a narrow market. No one wants Freddy other than funatics because no one knows who he is and could careless about him. The few times they have tried to sell him in the booth at SDCC they can't give him away. The funny part is although Freddy is a narrow market he is one of the few things Funko has out there that maintains if not grows in value.

Re: Why no Freddy Funko mystery mini?
I gotta second the Reverend's sentiments...we sometimes forget being the biggest fans that the casual Funko buyers aren't as crazy over Freddy as we all are. I think it'd be cool to see but I like the Freddy's the way they are now. I think based on the different incarnations I'm familiar with Funko's hit the sweet spot with the styles of Freddy's out there.

I bet they'd be popular if they did a fairly low/limited run of them. Like 500 cases...

Re: Why no Freddy Funko mystery mini?
I've given it some thought and I have to say that I completely disagree with those that say mystery mini freddys wouldn't sell. Yes, Freddy is for a niche market so maybe a huge release in a place like Barnes and Noble wouldn't be a good idea, but a direct sell from Funko or a place like Entertainment Earth could work.
Look at Freddy Pops! They do pretty well on Gemini and even better on Ebay. People are constantly looking for certain Freddys to buy, sell, or trade. Freddy especially does well with those collectors that have been in the Funko Fandom for a while. They are always looking for the hard collect so Freddys are a great way to go. The funatic family is growing by leaps and bounds right now, so this seems like a great time to jump on all the Funko crazy and release something like mystery mini Freddys directly from the Funko site itself or from Gemini, Entertainment Earth, Popcultcha, Think Geek, etc. Not a large run, but something to wet the appetites of collectors. I bet because they are Freddys people would buy them for a higher price than a regular mystery mini, just like they do the pops.

I totally agree!! I think Funko could definitely sell them when they start their online store. No need for a huge release, after all, Freddy is not meant to be common. Needs to be Garbage Pail Kids size for sure and have rarities!

Would it make Freddy less "special" and collectible if he were easier to collect ?
