That would be histarical. My mother might die because she hates the idea of not knowing what you're getting. I'm really hoping for the Abbadon or hound. I would hope there's at least 1 of the 1/72 in a case.

It "should" be all the normal 1/12 (usually around 9 figures), then two 1/24 and a 1/36, or some combination of rarer figures.

That's what I thought it would be with cases. Is there ever a chance of getting doubles or all the figures different in a case? I've never ordered a case before so I'm not sure how it goes.

Not yet. I'm waiting for HT since that one has Gadreel as a 1/12 and i wanna avoid duplicates if i can.. though, i know Ill end up getting single boxes at some point. (For gabriel) I was just looking around to see who has them on the well known online sites.

That being said, there are the rare occurrences where someone gets doubled up on a common 1/12 and shorted another. Someone the other day posted they got two Stitch figures from the Heroes v. Villains case, and were shorted someone else. I ended up with two Metallic Iron Man and no Metallic Iron Legionnare from a HT case a few weeks ago.

Maybe different Hot Topic stores do it differently. Mine always does it the most expensive thing never gets the 50% off discount. It's always the cheaper items. I just wanted to get my case pre-ordered since it seems it might be the end of August before we see them in HT stores.

The thing is I'm not going to buy 2 cases if I go in there so they always give me the discount off of the cheapest item. That's what I've experienced in my stores at least.

The boxes are all the same price, so there's no way to dodge the "cheaper" item... all twelve individual boxes are the same price.
Regarding finding a full case, your best bet is to stay on top of the store. Call every [other] day once you know the cases have started to show up. They're technically not allowed to hold an item straight off the truck for a customer, but if you call them the day that they come in and are put out for sale on the shelf, you should have a pretty good chance at being able to just grab the case off the wall when you get there.

I caved and bought some from my local comic shop. They even had full cases but being a cheapo and not wanting to spend $100 on a case I just bought the 5 they had left out from the first case. Scored me a Deanmon so I'm happy.

Hopefully it's actually a case and not just 12 boxes mixed together. It's listed as a display case so let's hope that's what it is!
