Horror Series 3 Mystery Minis!

Everything I want is super common (1/6 or 1/12) so I think I'll just wait for these to be out awhile and pick them up on eBay, I'm sure the prices will plummet over time on the commons.

I recommend that for pretty much everything in set. The eBay prices are super low for this series comparatively to S2, especially considering these just hit the reseller market a few days ago. I have an extra Grady Twins set on eBay right now and no one wants to pay more than $10 for it (some even want want free shipping too!). After fees, shipping, and the price of the box that I paid with tax, I'd actually lose $2.41 on the Grady Twins if I did it for $10 with free shipping. Seriously? Maybe they should try and pull their own 1/36 rare then.

Seriously though it is odd the price of these right now. I was trying to get an Adam Maitland and got stuck with Twisty and no one seems to want him either. I didn't even try ebay because the price was around $12...not really worth all the effort. Just holding him now for trade later on with other minis.

Been checking around at the local Southwest Florida stores. So far only seen them crop up at the local Gamestop stores. I'm on the pull list for Hot Topic, so hopefully if I can snag the unopened case I can post a layout.

Kinda hate that they're doing fully exclusive characters instead of just repaints/variants this year

Apparently the HT exclusives replace Jack, Alex, and reg. Slimer, so they should all be 1/12...that's a relief!

went to gamestop and found what looked like a pristine case but then ended up with jaws instead of Elvira. Also nabbed a syringe Freddy.

I'm probably a rare person but all I'm interested in is Bateman. Would anyone want to trade Freddy for Bateman? (Unlikely scenario I know)

So I went to Gamestop and ended up trying my hand at an untouched case. It wasn't pretty..
I kept buying three and going back for more. The GS employee prob thought I was nuts. The case was mixed, but I had a good feeling about it. However, the very last three I tried (besides the two obvious Jaws) were all the rares! But, I ended up getting Freddy! I'm very happy, at least I wasted my money on a 1/72.

Although I didn't want duplicates, it is nice to be able to pick from whatever duplicates there are in terms of quality. Now all I have left is Jason and Bateman, and the Jaws shark but he'll be coming in the case I carelessly ordered which won't be here for a week or so.

Oh, oh, and I have an extra Adam and 2 Mummies if anyone is still up for trading by the time I get the case in.

You can feel how heavy Jaws is, and if you know their location and aren't shifted about, then the others likely won't be either. Makes the guessing game a little easier, considering the bleh nature of having six 1/6 figures per case of twelve.

I really hope the ratios remain at 1:12 for those exclusives that replace the three regular 1:12s. That would be a real treat, especially after not so fun ratios for a lot of this normal set.

I'm eager to see a pic of the back of a Hot Topic box showing the official ratios...whoever is first to get their hands on them when they're released please share a pic!...and a layout if possible!!

With two untouched cases at GameStop and some luck I was able to get everyone I wanted in one trip. Very excited.

I found a case missing five minis and decided to buy one anyway just to scratch the itch. I got Jack Torrence, which was one of my biggest wants from this series, so that's not shabby! I can't wait to get the Grady Twins so they can go next to Jack and Pennywise on my shelf.

If all three Hot Topic exclusives are no rarer than 1/12, that'll lessen the sting of three 1/6 pieces.

The youtube video was posted yesterday. I never expected the stores to have them in stock over a days time span. I'll be watching California HT IGs to see when their shipment shows up.

Walked into Gamestop, they asked if the could help me, I said "Just checking out the new Funko stuff" and they said all we have new are the Horror Minis. I walk over and the box is missing a single mini, I was like "Mostly untouched too, Nice!" and the guy says "The only one missing is Freddy"

Anyway, I was able to pull The Wolfman and The Mummy, which knocks out two of my 4 wants from the series. Now I just have to track down a Jason, and the ever elusive Mr. Krueger.

Went into HT today and asked again.
They said that they didn't have an internal stock number for them yet so they were unlikely to have them this weekend, but they could be in within the next week (or so).

Also just caved and bought Freddy from eBay that's me $40 lighter (but happier!)

That's really cool, thanks for sharing that! I love seeing concept and behind the scenes stuff like this. He's really good at capturing the characters, like spot-on. I want to send him my wants for Series 4 (Tall Man, Pumpkinhead, Audrey II, Candyman, the list goes on..).

Ah man, Norman Bates would be fantastic, I've seen many people mention him here and other places for wants/suggestions. Same for Carrie. That might be why we got 3 1/6's, to make up for the cut figures. Hope to see them in the next Series then! These things sell like hot cakes, so I wonder why licensing would be an issue? I wonder if they make the concept then request the license, or maybe it was just a matter of logisitcs (the right people didn't give the right approval), or timing (since I can imagine they work fast considering how many products they make).

That Zuul and Masked Alex are interesting, especially since like mentioned before the Masked Alex Pop is a variant.
