Found my Hulkbuster today at FYE.

Very nice! So far the only place I've spotted these guys has been at HT. I have Proxima Midnight and Bucky, but I have a feeling getting Cap is going to be a long and painful process. No Wal-Marts near me so glad those ones are online at least. The Targets out here seem to rarely get MMs and when they do they are not current ones. Not sure they ever had anything but the common Spider-Man ones around here.

Yeah, I much prefer the MM being at B&N, I think. The only good thing about Target is there are so many of them...Walmarts, too, I guess. I guess it's no different than going from HT to HT in the quest, but it seems like it's going to be more difficult!

I agree 8/12 being a 1/6 is ridiculous. Then 2 1/12, essentially only 2 worthwhile boxes per case. That's pretty rough, but I'd imagine this will only get worse. Look at the loyal subjects, your chances of getting anything more than a 2/12 are slim to none. It's becoming the standard unfortunately.

From my hunting I've found most Hot Topics close to me to be okay with measuring. There was one sour grape in the bunch though, and even though he made a huge scene about it even after I stopped and started to collect what I had done (taking off the post it notes and then handing him back the boxes for him to put back into the case to put back on display not a few inches away) he still was acting like a brat so I'm never going there again. I now also ask the store before I start measuring to make sure of another scene like that happening...haven't gotten to one that told me flat no yet! Also that it's extremely easier to find ones that you want in fresh boxes than with already gone through because of the 8 1/6's, and then 2 1/12, leaving only the 1/?? and the exclusive of the box.

Now the next thing to hunt, because god I'm never going to get Bucky/Cap with how the boxes the closest Hot Topic to me has gotten (Proxima, Spider/Hulkbuster, Proxima), is the nearest mom n' pop store for Doctor Strange...and his god damned 1/72 drop rate...

There's a small light in the darkness, I think - that new Incredibles set seems to all be 1/12. Goodness knows I'd buy an entire case right off the bat to get the set done. Heck....I bought a case and a half from HT on the first day to try to get a jump on this! So here's hoping other sets won't be quite so evil to us.

Great information, thanks for posting it! Hopefully it helps some of us out - I know I always track my weights even on duplicates, just so I have a better picture of the range. Good luck with Dr. Strange, I'm in the same hunt. Was trying to help some friends out with Bucky/Cap, but seriously, after my millionth Ebony Maw (Blue Creeper!), I think I'm done with that. So now I'll move on to thousands more of Thor and Ebony Maw in the quest for a Dr. Strange!

Pretty entertained by this, so I thought I'd share. I have a couple friends who don't really collect minis, but will sometimes buy my duplicates if they like the set I'm going for. One friend took a Thor, and wanted a Black Panther - which I did (unintentionally) find her. She messaged me this weekend with the following:

Friend: You didn't happen to get a Dr. Strange figure, did you?
Me: (hoping she somehow found one for me) Lol, no, why?
F: Bummer...I love him! Guess I gotta go digging.
M: Yeah, so far, he's difficult
F: Hmmm...D@#n you, Dr. Strange!
M: Girl, you have no idea

I weighed them before opening. I definitely should of stopped when I opened outrider. I had one ebony maw that was 46.4 grams and another that was 51.5 grams. This set is ridiculous. What is wrong with Funko and these damn 1/6 ratios. Then 1/36 & 1/72 store exclusives. I hope this is eventually going to bite them in the behind.

Agreed, 100%!! If most of them were 1/12, at least we'd have a decent shot at the higher ratios. As they stand now, you kinda have to buy the 1/6s just to make sure you aren't leaving behind the higher ratio, especially with the weights being all over the place! I know for a fact that I left a Bucky behind in a case, but I didn't know it until I'd left the store. Didn't go back in, since I wasn't sure which one it was, and it's a scale-unfriendly store via the managers (not the rest of the employees, but they warned me, and I did a quick weight, grabbed, bought, and ran...and ultimately, failed..!)
