Man, so unless Luke and Vader are 1/12 in a Walgreens case, every character in this release can be found at a 1/12 or more common rarity except the two biggest characters, who are 1/36 and 1/72. Yeesh!
Wanted Minis: Stone Zuul/Terror Dog, Grady Twins, Scarred Chucky, GITD Pennywise, Zombie Ed, Guitar Crow, B&W Alfred Hitchcock, Spider Leg Pennywise, Henry Bowers, FYE Eddie, FYE Beverly, HT Bill, HT Ben

If thats for real, how would people trade them and whatnot?
"Hey, ill trade you my 1/72 Ponda for a darth vader?
"Ponda is a 1/12 tho"
Person A: Hi, I like your vinyl mini bobble-head that I paid $7 for at GameStop. Care to trade?
Person B: Well, I paid $8 for mine at Hot Topic, but I really want that character. Sure, I'll trade!
*trading happens*
if only it actually happened like that

So 3 Vader. Wonder if the Wal-Mart case will be a better ratio than 1:72. If it is then this won't be that hard of a series.

I SWEAR I saw R2D2 on eBay hahaha I knew I should've taken a screenshot. So there's 24 figures with 9 exclusives in this set? After my Spider-Man misery, this is an easy pass for me. Still on the fence about Justice League, Stranger Things and Thor.

This may be the most frustrating mystery mini set Funko has put out yet. Flippers are going to be really happy though.

Can flippers be happy about a mystery set though? They still have to buy and open. Granted sooner rather than later layouts will leak out, but those are still some tough odds.

Also, is FYE getting any exclusives? I know I pre-ordered from them, so I'd hope they have exclusives.

I highly doubt it.
1: They would have been announced along with the other stores
2: I've yet to see FYE get exclusive minis.

I think I'm gonna cherry pick these at work and hope I can at least get Han and Leia. They look great but the ratios are all weird. I'll probably end up with a few though. Thanks Jonathan for posting the other exclusives!

Well this is looking like the most daunting mini set I've ever tried to collect but it's Star Wars and it's Mystery Minis and there is no way I'm skipping it, so what's the point in complaining. R.I.P my budget.

Does this mean if I pre-order a case, there will be no duplicates in there? Might be a dumb question but I am mainly a Star Wars collector and never bought any minis before. MINI-NOOBStrending625 wrote:I need them all! I love that with the regular cases there aren't any duplicate characters

Sadly, that is not the case. In the regular case the Leia is listed as a 1:6 so there will be 2 of her in a case. I am not sure what the exclusive case ratios are but if there are any 1:6 besides Leia there will be two of those as well. Those will be the only duplicates though.

Thanks, I appreciate the info! So I am probably going to have to buy 100+ of these to get them all. My wife is going to love this!

Re: Star Wars Mystery Minis: Toy Fair Reveal!
There was concern over in the Potter thread about there not being any clear layouts in cases for series 2, can we assume that this isn't the case (pun not intended) with these ones? Am also fairly newbish with minis but hoping I can snag a Wal-Mart exclusive case in Australia as their exclusives I like the most...
Are there any Aussies around that have seen them in the wild yet?

What do you do with the duplicates? I'm on the fence to really go after these. I just don't want to end up with 3 of the same items.

Of the, I think Stormtrooper and the Tie fighter pilot would make the most sense for duplicates.

Re: Star Wars Mystery Minis: Toy Fair Reveal!
Begun the dupe war has. My local GameStop had a full case out and there was no way for me to resist. I was a bit stressed due to the ratios, and I stressed even harder upon getting home when I shook a few of them. "Great, a couple more headless bobbles for 6.99".
My lack of faith turned out to be disturbing. These things are awesome. The loose heads I imagined were actually figures off their bases. The bases are great, but all 5 I've opened so far have stood up fine without the base.
So far all the heads are much tighter than any of the Marvel sets. They are barely even bobble-heads.
These figures look awesome and this set feels poised to go in my top 5 sets of any Funko product.

Re: Star Wars Mystery Minis: Toy Fair Reveal!
Got a few more at Gamestop and Think Geek this evening. Now have 16/24 total. Hoping the Wal-Mart Vader is an easier ratio than 1:72 and the exclusives aren't too hard to come by and HT is usually pretty easy around here. Happy hunting everyone.
Was also able to help a local buddy out with the duplicates. This has by far been my favorite series to hunt down.

I missed if these were posted, but here are the exclusive sets.

It's great that they ended up making a TIE Fighter Pilot after all, and I like the ghost Ben. That being said, I'm getting out of the MM game. These ratios are beyond ridiculous, and I can't support it. Making Vader a 1/72 was the last straw. I will still treasure many of the MM I have in my collection, but I won't be getting any more.

I haven't tried ordering 12 online to see if they just send an unopened case. But I was able to preorder 12 of the upcoming Episode 8 Mystery Minis from GameStop and the store said they'd just hold the case for me.

Re: Star Wars Mystery Minis: Toy Fair Reveal!
So much negativity for a series that we don't even have all the facts on yet. I really thought there would be more joy. These are amazing minis when you see one in hand.
By not having all the facts I mean that Wal-Mart has the common Vader in their case as well. Since ratios are different for the 2 cases we know of so far, who knows, maybe Vader will be an easier ratio for the Wal-Mart case... We bought 22 boxes so far and only have 6 duplicates, which is really good considering I have a whole army of 20 common Spider-Man from the classic series rotting in the closet.
So let's all breath before writing a series off completely.

Say what?! How could I not know about this set. The only thing I can find about it is a thread on here with people saying its a false alarm and there is no Last Jedi set. When is it supposed to be released?
Lilbrimer23 wrote:So much negativity for a series that we don't even have all the facts on yet. I really thought there would be more joy. These are amazing minis when you see one in hand.

This is such a good point. The biggest complaint I am hearing is that Vader is 1/72. You know who else was 1/72? Ponda Boba, until the GameStop case ratios came out and we find he is actually a 1/12 in that case. At this point I would be surprised if Vader wasn't 1/12 in Wal-mart boxes and Luke wasn't 1/12 in either Hot Topic or Wal-Mart.
The other complaint is the ratios being different across retailers. Yes, it is confusing at first and seemed like it could be an error. Yes, a figure being 1/12 in an exclusive case and 1/72 in a common case isn't the same as it being 1/12 everywhere. But it's a long way from it being a true 1/72. The retailer exclusive 1/72s will be tough, but once we have full information I'll wager this set won't end up being significantly more difficult than many other sets that we've seen recently.
And I 100% agree that once people start getting ahold of these things they are going to stop complaining. This is the best bobble set they've ever done by a mile, and one of the best overall sets.

A question though, do the bases connect? It looks kind of like they could but it just might be the weird shape of them.

Have they not been officially announced? In that case, shhh...
The funny thing is I actually stumbled across the Episode 8 Mystery Minis when trying to preorder Star Wars Wave 1 back in June. The GameStop app says they released on 12/31/1979 but that's obviously wrong, so I'll check with the store when I go by later for a better expected date.
