Any chance of Doctor Who mystery minis?

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

Any chance of Doctor Who mystery minis?

Postby Jezter » Tue Dec 29, 2015 4:20 pm

This has probably been discussed before and I see people listing DW on mini wish lists, but has anyone close to Funko ever heard any possibility of them doing mystery minis? I know Titan has their blind boxes, but if Funko did them I think I'd HAVE to collect them.

That said, IF they are ever made, I hope they are more like the horror, sci fi and Supernatural style and not like the superheroes or NBC style, those feel so...cheap to me. The Supernatural style is pretty awesome and I'd love Doctor Who that way.

Anyway, if this has been discussed and I missed it in my search, please forgive me and delete this thread.
Thanks! :D

No word on them yet, but there's always a possibility they will come out.

In the meantime, you can check out Titans' Doctor Who vinyl figures, the Character Building figures, and Lego's rumored to have a collectible mini figures (blind bag) set in the works for DW.

I would love these but I think as Titan has the licence there's no chance. Having said that Titan also produces Alien figures and there are mystery minis of these so you never know.

I think they could be kind of fun, but Titans might have them locked up.

I would like them more in the DC/Disney style with expressions. If they do them like Sci-Fi/Horror then the entire line looks like the bad guys from this season's 'Under the Lake'/'Before the Flood'.

I prefer walking dead/supernatural style to got style.

I see what you are saying, but the DC/Disney/NBC style of minis feel so cheap and plastic like to me.
I much prefer the heavier, sturdy feeling of the horror and sci fi minis.

Of course IF they ever make them, they will do whatever they do and some of us won't get them, but I want them MY WAY...wahhhhh...lol :D

I'm guessing Titans have dibs on dr who blind boxes but I'd love the Funko artists to do them instead. (Especially if it's the same style as horror, sci-fi, walking dead..)

My thoughts too! I would love to get them in the style you mentioned. I'll keep hoping. [-o<

Maybe they can unveil a new style of figure with Doctor Who, where the do the solid feel of the sci fi style, work actual facial features like GoT.

Was hoping for the minis but believe people are right that Titan has them pretty well sewn up.

I'd love that so much! I'd prefer them to be identical to the sci fi minis personally. Since there's 12 to case, they could just do all the Doctors as series 1. War Doctor could be rarer than 1/12, since he's kind of not in the lineup,
