Mystery Mini Weights

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

Mystery Mini Weights

Postby sasari » Thu Sep 10, 2015 7:23 am

Hi all
So I'm a bit of an avid mini collector but don't like reselling so end up giving away or having piles of "doublers", decided last week to start using a scale to weight them and since sub gram scales are so cheap (£5 or so for a pocket sized one) it works well.

Wondering if anyone else does this and is interested in a compilation of weights, we can share and help each other to identify. I have a handful of the rarer minis and would be happy to report mine. Though obviously this would not help with metallic/chase etc it at least will help for things like the Sci-Fi mystery minis, personally all I was after with those was the Firefly pieces and I'm sure others were in the same position.

So any interest?

yah I've been doing this with game of thrones and walking dead, although it hasn't much helped because of the bloody varients in walking dead and you can pretty much tell which figures are larger than others almost instantly

I might do that when the Horror Classics Series 2 get in. I'll report what I find to you all! I think weighing is the best way, even if it is a bit tedious. You also have to buy them before weighing them so there's that.

If you're interested in that though, I found these people on Youtube that weigh them while doing the reviews. Hope this helps!

With figures weighing so little, I have no clue as to why that youtube vid uses ounces instead of grams.

If you guys are interested I have weights for walking dead, fallout, and game of thrones. I've always been a little resistant to share as I want prime pick lol but it really does help identify certain figures if you can stand some awkward looks
