So I caved and bought some Dorbz...

As a Batman collector, I've been eyeing Dorbz for a while, but wasn't sure if I wanted to go down that particular rabbit hole. The Emerald City bullseye Batman really intrigued me, because we've never seen that particular Batman in any kind of figure form before, but I didn't bite until last week when I noticed these guys on clearance at GameStop.

At two or three bucks a pop, I couldn't resist them and have now bought both the blue and black Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Penguin, Joker, Riddler, Scarecrow, and have my local store holding Killer Croc (for only 99 cents!). Harley and Catwoman are full price, but I'm sure I'll cave soon and buy the set.

And now with Dorbz from my second favorite movie of all time (Batman Returns) coming out soon, I'm hooked.

I only have Funko to blame. (And maybe you guys. A little...)

Seriously, it took me a little while to get on board but I'm sold. The con exclusives seem to be worse to land than most POPs but the commons are still solid pieces. Now you need some Dorbz Rides :roflmao:

Don't feel bad Rex. We all told the same story at one time. I did pretty good avoiding a new line till the Civil War Dorbz.

I did the same thing with the clearance Dorbz. Then they piled up. Then I started wanting to be a completionist. And now I feel since I got such great deals on the $1.97-$3.97, I feel like there is more room for my wallet to grab some higher end resales. Ugh.

Yeah, same here. I didn't like them at all when they first came out, and then I decided I'd only get specific ones. I've held pretty strong, but now I want some of the Civil War ones and I just KNOW the more SDCC waves are going to have ones I'll want. Ugh!! Welcome to the madness!!

Your post hits home. I went from I'm never going to collect those to oh that ghost rider is pretty cool to now I have like 15 of them and want more. I am totally digging the Tim Burton Batman set and need that as well.

About a month ago, I never cared about Dorbz or anything Funko related. I own the Supernatural pops and a Shredder pop. My neice became obssessed with mystery minis so I bought a few for her at Gamestop. While there, I came across a clearance sales for Dorbz. I thought the TMNT and Marvel lines was cool so I bought a few. A month later, I own more than 100 dorbz; 10 chases, all the gamestop exclusive, the entertainment earth exclusives and I have a freddy funko coming in the mail. The addiction is real.

I've settled on buying the entire basic original Batman set (only missing Harley, Ivy, and Catwoman) and whatever special ones catch my eye. So far, I'm passing on the recent movie ones (I'd be in for a Katana, that's for sure!), but I'll definitely scramble to get that Batman Returns set, and any others they make from the Burton Batman movies. Just bought the Batman Returns Mez-Itz because I'm a sucker for anything from those two movies...

Just bought my first Dorbz today that wasn't included in a subscription box. Ended up buying the SDCC 2015 x-force dead pool since I already buy all his pops. Hopefully I don't start collecting these too.

Lol! I took the plunge big time. I'm thinking of just collecting deadpool and batman but we all how that can go downhill real quick. It doesn't help that I'm still buying a lot of pops too.

Yeah, I received my first Dorbz (Batman) for my birthday and now I'm searching amazon and ebay to get more. Must resist the need to collect and find some limit on my obsessiveness. Cap America Civil War is sucking me in right now!

I had a few just to have them initially, but the first one that really grabbed me was the Civil War Falcon...the little googles and wings killed me...I'm not crazy about the line, but there are a few that I really love...

I bought my first Dorbz (Jon Snow) last week, and it's supposed to be delivered today. Today could be the day my Dorbz addiction begins. This is how my Pop addiction began, by saying I only wanted one. :rolleyes:

Just when I thought I will hold off for Comicon exclusive, I went into a Gamestop loaded with new Dorbz. I picked up 12 and had to ignore the Ridez and XL they had in stock. The Suicide Squad and Scooby Gang had my number.
