Ready Player One Pops!

Pretty excited for this movie and really hoping we will get some new pops for it! After watching the trailer (100+ times) there are lots of 80's references and licences Funko has already done, I'm wondering, do you think they would make new versions of some of the previous Pops from the past like Iron Giant, Back to the Future, etc?? Either way, I think they will have some good new material for the line!

That would be awesome if they did but I doubt that it'll happen. There are too many characters that'll be shown from many different licenses and they'll more than likely only just be a cameo for those few seconds.

A ton of great potential for this line. Would love to see Pops of the main characters avatars and even some of the suxxors.

Yeah, I doubt all the licences would get done, but the main characters? totally could be done. Halliday with the Chase as him in his wizard robe? Art3mis, AECH, and the SUXXOR stooges would be great, and Ogg.

I DO still need to read the book! I think from what I've seen, Funko already has some of the licenses for the characters revealed in the trailer so I'm wondering if they will recreate them specifically for the movie. More numbers...your favorite!! lol

I assume they would of course make new Pops based on the movie characters but are they going to remake of some of the other one's they've done in the past like Back to the Future, etc?

I opened this thread hoping id see some glams, makes more sense that its a wish thread.

I havent read the book or whatever its based on, but yeah that trailer looks AMAZING, and pops for it would be pretty flippin cool

To all those who haven't read the book... do it! It's an amazing read. Couldn't put it down. Also read Armada by Cline. His imagination is truly something. I actually liked Armada more. But with a director like Spielberg attaching his name to RPO I can see why it gets more love.

I am super excited for the movie. I would like to see other versions of previous POP!s, but i doubt that would happen. It would be cool though.

The book is awesome! The movie will definitely be spectacular with Spielberg behind it. On a note of Funko though, that Artemis pop is life.

I think I may be alone but I thought the book was terrible. However, some of the pop designs on these are really awesome and we picked up a few just because they’re very cool looking pops.

Enjoyed the book, and while reading it I could see that it was almost a screenplay. To see the trailer with sequences outside the book is a bit odd, and the avatar design is selectively weird, but hopefully it comes together in the film.

Ya I really liked it alot more than I thought I would especially cause I work with gundams and theres a fighting scene with one.

Most people I have seen that have already seen the movie have been enjoying, I'm looking forward to next Fri/Sat can't wait to see it. Already caved and bought all the pops, so if the movie isn't that great.. I bought them for the book

Out of all the Walmart stores in my area, I have only seen one. When I got to it, the exclusives were gone. It was an end cap cardboard display piece, kind of like the Pop! standing units you see with 4 shelves. If I remember correctly, the shelves could hold two row deep. It was away from the normal place that they put the Pops! at the end of the aisle with the action figures.

A store near me put their Ready Player One pops with the other pops on the shelf. They didn't have the end cap display for the movie.

I have yet to see any Ready Player One pops at my local Walmart. I wonder if only a limited number of Walmart are getting them.

No luck in my area. The 3 stores have yet to put them in their system. I've looked up some upc numbers and my store has looked them up and has said they don't have any in route.
