GameStop October 20th Mystery Box

Does anybody know how this mystery box works? Is there two different boxes in which one features the

and one features the

and the

Spoiler: show

? Or is it one box that features all three of those items?

Is that

even a GameStop Exclusive? I think it's weird how the "Only @ GameStop" sticker is seen on the 6" Pop and the Pop Keychain but not on the Pop (the figure is in the way).

And I noticed the GameStop tweet revealing the Gears Of War items only distinguishes the Pop Keychain as a GameStop Exclusive:

If the mystery box comes with all three of those items for only $29.99 that's an extremely reasonable price.

The only item I'm interested in is that

so any info on how the mystery box works would be appreciated.

GameStop has been very vague with their promotion of this mystery box so I don't want to purchase it until I know how it works. Seems like GameStop is trying to slyly advertise the

as being a GameStop Exclusive and/or being included in the mystery box.

I agree the way they worded it, it made it seem like the swarm pop won't be in the box just the mini JD pop.

Is that #130 Gears Of War Funko Pop even a GameStop Exclusive? I think it's weird how the "Only @ GameStop" sticker is seen on the 6" Pop and the Pop Keychain but not on the Pop (the figure is in the way).

Yeah, I'm not convinced that the same box contains a 6" Pop (which retail for $18.99 @ GameStop), a Pop (which retail for $11.99 @ GameStop), and a Pop Keychain (which retail for $4.99 @ GameStop), all for $29.99.

I've read through all of GS's comments on their FB page and it is crystal clear that ALL boxes contain EXACTLY the same thing. In the other Titan thread I pasted a Q&A where I asked GS if there was any point in buying more than one box and they actually replied no, not unless you get one for someone else as a gift.

Cam and Yoko did an unboxing video for it and it had all 3 items in it. On the plus side they were all wrapped in plastic! Here's to hoping the Black Friday boxes will be too!

Yeah, I think this is their new MO since the league of legends box was sealed too. Gotta love when companies learn from past mistakes.

Per what they said in the clip, the Swarm Sniper IS exclusive to this box so all 3 items are exclusives. The box is shrink-wrapped, but I'm not sure why they bothered since all boxes have identical content. Man the detail on the Atlas is incredible!!! Just check out the back of it, amazing! Also it's amusing how many times Cam and Yoko open and close the doors and put the driver in and out lol

I did but I don't think you really need to. All the boxes are identical and GS has always been good in the past about having adequate stock of Funko boxes, so I'm sure getting one in-store won't be an issue.

Huh, I just checked and same thing. Maybe they're not showing up in the system for some reason. I just checked my preorder and it hasn't shipped either though.

It is possible that the stores have not received their delivery yet. For both SDCC and NYCC Gamestop did not receive some or all of their items until the day they were set for release.

It's funny because originally it was slated for 11/1 but then updated to 10/20.
Nothing available online and nothing at any store. Even calling the store didn't help as it did not arrive in today's shipment for the stores I tried.

I'm almost certain that when i preordered it, the printout showed 10/28 as the expected date, not 10/20.

On one hand, great they are sealing these now. However, why seal a box that is the same box to box? With the last mystery box, people (Im guessing GS employees) were peaking in the bottom to find the rare pops). So, since each of these boxes is the same, why bother? I'm still a bit confused about the marketing like the rest of you, there is no mystery in this box.

Good point, they probably are just getting into the process that all "mystery" boxes will be sealed, it just happened that the first time they correct this is on a box that doesn't require a seal.

It's more on GameStop than anything, but I'll give Funko credit for taking an extra unneccessary step so the consumer can get mystery boxes that haven't been tampered with. Although I wouldn't put it past some GameStop employees trying to figure out ways to re-shrinkwrap the boxes.

I like what you did there...deflect blame, but then give them all the credit for attempting to fix it. I'm sorry, but IMHO no matter how you slice it, sealing it in such a way where you can see what is inside or even potentially open the box somewhat undetected was a mistake by Funko. I doubt that Gamestop dictated how the boxes would be sealed so I'm not sure how you can put that on them honestly. If they did or there is some other rationale explanation to put 100% of the blame on Gamestop, I'll stand corrected. Should Gamestop try to hire employees with more integrity? Sure, but players are gonna play so you just have to be smarter than them when designing the box itself.

Anyway, water under the bridge. I'm glad they fixed it, whoever it was (heck, maybe Gamestop asked them to be sealed to avoid future problems...imagine that...).

I think the box is amazing especially with the Titanfall pop. Still haven't opened mine though.
