What type of POP collector are you?

1) All in boxes and NEVER opened, perhaps even in POP protectors
2) All/most in boxes usually never opened
3) Some in box (probably exclusives) some out of box and on display
4) Pretty much all out of box and on display, boxes for exclusives still kept
5) Boxes are useless, all on display and/or for the kids (or yourself) to play with

Is there a way to add a POLL to this?

For myself, I'm #4 ALL out of box, I got the boxes for the exclusive ones in a closet, but that's it.

I Have all of Mine out of the box but keep all the boxes! Idk I just like the way the look all lined up on my shelf

Definitely #4. I like displaying mine out of the box. I only keep the boxes for my special POPs.

#2 for me. I only have one out of box and I opened some to clean paint smears from the plastic, but the rest stay in box. They look so pretty all lined up. Plus I don't have to move each figure when I need to dust. Although the boxes take up a lot of space.

3. A small amount out of box and on display and the rest still in boxes. Mostly because of space constraints.

Numero 4 for myself! They look so cool together. I have boxes for a few but most I throw out because I am set on them being in my collection permanently

I'm a number 5. I would've kept the side panels of the boxes had i done that from the beginning but it's way too late. the boxes do look amazing but they unfortunately get thrown away. i remember how hard it was to throw away my first Funko's box (Spider-man) cause it looked so nice! lol

they all are on display wherever there is room for them

I'm between #1 and #2. There's only one on my shelf out of the box (it's my bf's), and I have one in a protector (my autographed Stan Lee). I like the way the box art looks.. and boxes are easier to dust!

I'm thinking I want to start making some customs soon, so will have to find a way to make some custom boxes, too.....

I'm a #1 person, minus the protectors. There are a few I wouldn't mind buying duplicates of to play with, though.

#5. I have a small room, keeping the boxes would take up an unnecessary amount of space. I mean, I've considered keeping the boxes of some of them if they were rare or something, but ultimately I don't see the point. I don't intend on ever selling most of my toys, anyway.

I don't have children, so I don't have to worry about them being found or anything like that.

Right now all of mine are in the box. The other week, they were all displayed out of box. The nice thing about having such a small collection to start with is being able to switch it up without spending half the day. :3 I'm sure eventually I'll have to choose one or the other, but for now I'm enjoying the versatility.

I keep my pops in their boxes, and a couple of my favorites have protectors. I have a couple OOB that were give to me, or I bought a pop to box a proto. XD That being said I respect all ways of collecting. I think OOB collections can look just as good as in-box collections. I just personally like the way my collection looks in-box. Also I don't even have the room for OOB. XD

#3 - I like to display any sets, like ghostbusters, together. But try to put an Ecto-1 box, normal pop box and Staypuft box together, fun. Put them together out of the box they look so cool.

#5 for me, I let my cousins play with my Pops, they're really hard to damage so I don't mind at all.

They're all out of the box, but I do keep the boxes to rare Pops still (SDCC '14 Vincent, Jules and Rocket + Loot Crate Groot). I also don't let my cousins play with the bobble-head characters because they have a habit of taking the heads off. The bobble-heads only count for about 1/6 of my collection though.

EDIT: Oh and I'm getting an Edward Kenway for Christmas, and I'll use that box for my Proto of him. So I'll have at least one in-box by the end of the week.

I'm a 4. I like the exclusives boxes, because it's neat seeing the year and history. But the rest I want to see the vinyl in all it's glory.

Any Pop worth over $25 I have stays in box and is in a pop protector and is displayed. All other pops under said amount is out of the box diaplayed, boxes stored away. I like it this way, I have the best of both worlds.

That's my reaction too!

I'm a 4. Only have two in the box - one is flocked, the other is a trio, of which I already have two of the characters displayed otherwise. And honestly, I just love the look of the box with the three characters on front and it being a big box. I'm a package nerd.

I would say I'm number 2. I have a few that are out of the box because when I first got some I liked them out and threw away the boxes. Now I keep them in the boxes most of the time. We have about 5 with no box.

Out of the box for the most part. The only one I keep in his box is headless herschel. He is already dead so he isn't suffering.
