Yeah I remember they said they were going to make that movie. Probably going to buy all the pops for it before it comes out.

Wasn't sonic the star of his own video game? He wasn't the villain but I vaguely remember playing hi game on play station.

Yes. He was Sega's mascot well before the Playstation came out.

Sonic had his own game on Sega... eventually he also got a TV show, I think somewhat recently.

sonic was THE game for the sega genesis. Sonic was basically like Mario for the Sega Team. He had (And still has) about 20 sequels, some coming out as late as THIS YEAR. He definitely has had his share of games.

I mis-typed, oopsie.

Sonic was never an arcade character. Video game, yes. Arcade, no.

Altered Beast, great call.

he wasn't originally an arcade character, but there have been a ton of sonic arcade games -- not all of them released in US.

LOL well look at that, never seen those before.

you played them? they look a little schwaggy.

lots of other arcade characters you could put in that spot and Dr. Eggman.

i don't think i ever played any, but i've seen some of them before, when we had a gameworks nearby. since it was part-owned by sega, they got some of them, even the ones that were 'japan only' or whatever. that place always had the craziest stuff.

and yeah, i agree, i'd rather see a more 'classic' character in that spot. eggman i'm fine with, since he's at least a villain and i guess that makes sense for this film. but if they're going to use a hero, i'd rather it be something much older, like q*bert on the other side.
