As a SW fan, when I first saw the new LE Captain Rex pop coming out soon, I was very excited. Then someone mentioned it is similar to the Rebels pop. The molds look almost identical. They're both holding blasters, the uniform is similar, and it's old man Rex. I think the LE is an older version of old man Captain Rex though and obviously the detail is much better. I will be trying for him for sure, as soon as they announce where he's going to be released at (store).
Anyone else feel like this was going to be an NFT drop because it is a black box? Maybe another wave of SW NFTs that never got to be released.
Who else is going to try for him and what do you think about Funko's decision to choose a similar mold to a previous release?
