Looking good!!

Maybe it’s just me, but out of the two Spider-Man chases I have, the Japan one glows like yours and is a better glower than the Gemini chase one. Don’t know if they were two separate production runs and that is the reason for the difference in the glow, but it is puzzling :-k

Man that looks so cool glow. Ill have to check the regular when I get from my friend...I like the look of the common one more than the glow one in the daylight if the predator though

I was kinda hoping the glowing 8-bit would impress me enough to change my opinions on the 8-bit line in general, but these just arent for me. I love glowers, but it still comes off looking wrong to me. At least i'm one less person to compete with for those Chases. Good luck with the mystery boxes, fellow funatics!

Does anyone have a recommendation of an inexpensive UV light to buy just for personal use. Not looking for display stuff, just mainly something I can use to charge up some pops to test how they look. Sorry if it's been said before in this thread I just don't want to scroll through all of the pages :)

Some people use UV flashlights. Great for helping you decide not to stay in a hotel room again too. Ever. lol If you're not looking for something so portable, I recommend the fluorescent strip lights sold at Walmart. I think they're 15 bucks? They work great, will light up a large shelf easily. DO NOT get the incandescent UV bulbs, they don't work well at all.

I like to do my research online first before I buy things. Your guys' recommendation is a big part of that research. Plus I'm not sure if our nation's Walmarts will carry the same things, so I gotta find where to get it before I go drive somewhere with no knowledge.

Yes the chases and commons have the exact same stripe paint so they look identical in the dark. Very cool pic by the way, nice collection!

I just use my iPhone, I charged them up in the bat case I have lined with strip LEDs and turned them off, waited a few seconds for my phone to adjust and snapped the pic. If Pops don’t glow well for me then I don’t make any effort to try and “fake” the picture with a long exposure or something. My glow pics throughout this thread are what you can reasonably expect your Pops to look like after charged under black light :-) If they glow like crap then I will say so! That was actually why I originally started this thread was to separate the wheat from the chaff when it comes to glow Pops, but I got lazy about updating the list in the first post.

I've been thinking about stripping the paint from my Balrog GITD, since the black paint is just lessening it's glowing ability.

Anyone removed paint from Pops before? I tried Isopropynol and Paint Thinner but neither had an effect.

I bet amma on Ebay could tell you how to do it near perfectly :bom:

Seriously though, it does seem, based on the glow’s proto it would be an immaculate glower if the paint wasn’t hindering it!
