I would love it if there was a line of Gundam Pops! released in Asia, if not here, so that we had a shot of getting them. I think the one big stumbling block would be getting the license, because Bandai has had it forever and also making the Mechs in different forms, like High Complete, High Comic, Regular, plus all the model kits.

I haven't picked any Pops up yet (did buy the keys), but I think I might have to go looking this weekend and see if I can find any good deals on them.

It was awesome! There was a great energy in the room which definitely helped the enjoyment; the audience ate it up. It was my first ever IMAX movie, and I gotta say- I get the appeal now! The movie looked and sounded amazing on IMAX.

Did you see it at an IMAX at a Regal cinemas, which is a little larger than the larger screens in the building or a full sized IMAX screen that is 8-10 stories tall?

It was a legit IMAX. It was almost too much! lol But it definitely helped as far as immersion. There's some incredibly cinematic moments that are just pure fun! I read an article that says it feels like the movie was made by someone in their 20's, not someone Spielberg's age, and I'd have to agree!

Welcome to the IMAX club...BTW, if all other viewings of movies feel inadequate afterwards, they are. :D :roflmao: :D :roflmao: :D :roflmao: :D

Just saying it would be a fun summer movie. When I was a kid growing up all the fun movies came out during the summer (seemed like it to a kid like me). Movies like this or Jumanji are fun movies that seem a good fit for the summer when all the kids are off school.

Fun movie! Really brought a smile to my face--seeing all those characters, hearing so many tunes and phrases brought together. Went with my son and daughter. All of us really enjoyed it! Gonna have to add this group of Pops! to the collection. :thumbleft: :thumbright:

I went and saw the movie this weekend and it was amazing! I had not read the book, but a lot of my co-workers have and really got me excited to see the film. I love how it is chock full of so many references to other movies/games/etc., was very well made. It definitely has me thinking about picking up a couple of Pops now that I have seen the film and know who the characters are. I did buy the soundtrack, amazing work by Alan Silvestri.
