Re: So how did your SDCC Pop Hunting Go?
A hard lesson for this year, is I either need to
1.) Change all my logins and passwords to the same exact thing on all the sites
2.) Print out a cheat sheet with logins to keep with me
3.) Or see if I can keep signed in on all things on my phone.
I was working out and about when Baxter went live for instance, and I totally forgot my Walmart information and missed it.

Life is full of questions isn't it? Though, naturally I prefer to think of them as Riddles.

Re: So how did your SDCC Pop Hunting Go?
I got everything I wanted and a few more things on impulse. I was only really after Carbon Fiber D.Va, Luna, Clara, Tinkles and the Ren & Stimpy 2-pack, so by early Thursday morning I was done. I ended up buying a Baxter Stockman, Musashi, Blue Scooby and Pink Marvin on top of those because they're neat.
Then on top of all that, I won a Conan Pop online on the final night and a Masked Elliot Pop from the Funko Lucky Draw on Friday morning before Fundays!

Or did you think I'd be too stupid to know what a eugoogoly was?

Can't complain, but I am a little worried about the Mountain I got from Boxlunch as I have not received shipping confirmation. Happy to get something from B&N after their website fiasco (somehow my order for Tigger went through). I was able to pre-order Night King from Popcultcha and score one of my wants from the Funko Shop (Scott Pilgrim with sword).

Re: So how did your SDCC Pop Hunting Go?
As of now, the SDCC hunt is barely even existent for me. All I want is Tinkles, which of course the adult show exclusive gets a children's store release, of which is not in my town. I got paid the day after she sold out online. Ive had more success in the last few weeks getting last year's Comikaze exclusives.

Re: So how did your SDCC Pop Hunting Go?
It was going great until Gemini Collectables cancelled my orders due to some weird terms on their site? I was gutted. I emailed them to try an understand why, but they never got back to me.
Something to do with me paying with a credit card and not PayPal. I would of thought a credit card was more secure.
I managed to get most of what I wanted elsewhere here in the UK, but some of the Fundays items I will now have to get from ebay at crazy prices
Really put a cloud over this years SDCC for me.

My experience with Gemini is that they have cool things, ship nicely, but email, oh they don't like responding to any email that they don't have to respond to.

Between D23, SDCC, and Fundays I had quite the haul. Most of it is in transit but managed to bring a few pieces back with me directly.
Can't really see it because of the glare, but my Freddy Flux was also signed by the man himself, Brian Mariotti!!!

HaloHawk87 wrote:I unfortunately completely struck out for this SDCC and got nothing. I had an amazing SDCC last year and got almost everything I wanted then, so I guess I was due for some bad luck this year. The fact that I had significantly fewer wants this year had an impact, though. There were some things I looked for at the mall, but a couple were already sold out and another couple had quality control issues that turned me off. I had similar issues online. The Night King was sold out before I knew it would even be sold online, and after spending a day and a half refreshing Walmart for the Tank Trooper, it went up with a shipping price that pushed it over my $20 personally set limit, so I decided to skip it. It was my top want from SDCC, but not a must-have, and not worth the price to me. I could have gone ship-to-store, but I knew that would almost guarantee a damaged box. Wasn't worth the risk.
I hope NYCC is better. It can't be as bad as SDCC was.
That's interesting to hear. My experience with ship to store has been much better than ship to home. I actually had to return my troopers (and ordered another ship to store) because they were packaged so poorly they were all beat up. If they actually replace them and ship them back out (and they ship them better this time) I'll let you know. I should be able to get it shipped to you (in a sturdy box with bubble wrap) for under your $20 limit

Was at SDCC and after 2 failed attempts to get a ticket for the Funko booth I gave up on that. I'll just get the pops either online or eBay. However, my persistence did pay off and I got the Glow In the Dark Baxter Stockman from the Nickelodeon booth. So that achievement alone makes my day. Plus I saw a WWII Costume Captain America pop and the dealer was willing to give him to me at a discount so that was another round of awesome.

Managed to get a majority of what I wanted Tick, Lorax, Megazord, Tigger, Tinkles/ghost in a Jar, Coon, mint berry crunch and Marvin, I started out really well with the funko shop items, got ren and stimpy, scott w destiny sword, roxy, sike o shriner and Big Gruesome but I missed out on all of the looney tunes ones that I actually wanted. Fingers crossed I can find someone to trade with at least for Daffy and Pete Puma, I know finding someone to trade the hyde/bugs two pack will be a stretch.

Katers wrote:Now that it's over, it seems like my collecting went fine, but wow was the during stressful! Managed to get through on HT online to order my Occamy and Luna, but had to do it on a hotel computer rather than my cell phone, and just barely made it under the time limit imposed on the computer! Ended up leaving SDCC Thursday morning to go line up at the Gamestop next to my hotel to get the Tony Stark pop - I was 15th in line, but they had around 30 so I was good there. Picked up a Negaduck on a whim for a line buddy that had wanted it from the booth, and passed it on later in the con to them. And because it was one of the few sites that was working, and nice to me, I ordered Bucky Cap off Walgreens since I wanted to have one nice ordering experience.
Thought I was going to strike out completely on B&N Harry - what a saga there! I have in my inbox a paypal confirmation from them, but even now nothing has come through on B&N indicating the order went through. Called all around trying to track one down, and was striking out everywhere. Kind of resigned to paying a flipper, when a friend offered up her mom in CO as a personal shopper. Started calling her 4 local B&Ns, and lo and behold was able to direct her to a store just in time to buy the last one! When my friend told me she'd pick it up and bring it back on her next visit, I told her I'd send her with a pop protector. I don't think she's stopped laughing at me yet. But I don't care, because...success!
Dude I understand your pain. I was up till 3 AM PST trying to get Tigger before giving up. I would click checkout and it would just spin. Barnes and Noble online experience was a nightmare.

I feel your pain. I have given up on the funko booth the last two years. They moved to the ticket system and it is just as bad as when it was all about being first in exhibit hall floor or in the area when line becomes uncapped. It just has its own set of problems. That is why I love the shared part. It makes me happy. As a result, its only fundays and preview night access to booth that is disappointing. I am already counting down for Fundays 2018 because 2016 was such a blast. It was a sad Friday night because all I could think about was the blast I had at Fundays 2016.

I am hoping SDCC learns that people are unhappy with this system and goes to a lottery. This way I can at least sleep in a bed!.

Don't feel badly - there are more of us that can't get in than there are that do! Tried for the booth once, and spent the rest of the day exhausted with no pops to show for it!
I feel both of your pain. I was at SDCC starting Wednesday for preview night and no luck getting into booth or pop up shop. In all honesty, I have given up on booth. I heard pop up shop was chaotic.

Only two things I was actually able to buy online were Snoke and Blue Scooby (confirmed and shipped). Didn't have time to go to a store because I was just so busy at SDCC. Aside from Jolly Roger I probably won't get anything else off ebay. I did have a great haul this weekend though, so I'm not complaining at all.

Managed to get everything from the SDCC Pop Up Shop and with the help of friends and trades received a few items from the convention. I ended up giving away my GITD Snoke to a kid who really wanted it. I'm currently searching for Tigger and Snoke again haha.

I've just pre-ordered Harry from a French webshop, he should arrive at the end of August. I guess that's one advantage of not living in the US: you get a bit more time to order the exclusives you like.

My luck with this years Funko wants didn't go good at all. #1 on list Metallic Blue Batman, Mr Hyde + Bugs was a no go and Marvin the Martians any color was also a no go. Lucky for Fundays I did get some awesome Freddy's. So can't complain too much I guess

Undeniably cool things! I wouldn't know about the shipping, as people from the UK can't buy from them apparently!!
People from the UK can buy from them. They have their 2017 Fundays Website Policy front and centre in the Fundays section, before you scroll down to the items, one of which says: •International customers MUST pay via Pay Pal and ship to a Pay Pal verified address, or risk cancellation.
In their general terms for other items, it says: International Payments - In order to process and ship quickly we recommend payment by Pay Pal or a Pay Pal linked credit card shipping to a Pay Pal verified address. All other forms of payment must be verified by Gemini Collectibles and will result in shipping delay or possible cancellation of the purchase. International payments shipping to an address in the USA must be paid by Pay Pal and ship to a Pay Pal verified address. USA Payments shipping to an International address must be shipped to a Pay Pal verified address. All International echeck payments will be cancelled.
It sounds like it's a bit hit and miss for them as to which international credit cards they are able to process. Shipping to a verified paypal address helps them control the One Per Person rule. So for the Funday items which were is very large demand, it was Paypal (which they know they can process) or nothing.

Re: So how did your SDCC Pop Hunting Go?
Hi, I'm new here. Just came back from SDCC and was lucky enough to get into the Funko booth with a friend to pick up a few pops. We were able to get the following:
2x Mr Toad
2x Megazord
2x Mushashi
2x holographic lead and R2D2
1x supreme leader snoke
2x gwenpool
2x red she-hulk
2x baxter sockman
1x the coon
1x mint berry crunch
2x aquaman
1x wonder twins
1x harry potter
1x chip and dale
2x dorbz riderz aladdin
2x funtime foxy
2x jumpscare baby
Was impossible to get to the pop up shop and was really unfortunate that there was pretty much no way to get some of the more limited edition ones.
Is there a place on the forum to talk about trades?

Almost complete failure, and i went to SDCC too. The RNG gods were complete against me this weekend.
Was able to pick up a Red She-hulk and Clara from an offsite and Ochaco from the funimation booth. But could never find a Megazord or Occamy

My husband and I got most of the shared ones but couldn't get the ticket for the Funko Booth or the pop up for the good stuff. We did get several of the Conans though - no Mono of course.
