I would just put up a WTB thread here on the board. Ebay might have some but you're likely to get a better deal here.

Most can be found for $10-20 on eBay. I think the only one I paid more than that for was Booberry.

Okay, time to keep my eyes glued to this site and my finger hovering over the F5 button.
I have a bizarre soft spot for cereal mascots (probably because I grew up eating nothing but cereal), so it's been devastating missing out on the Monster Cereal mascots. I don't think my heart would be able to take missing out on any others haha. Thanks for the update, Brian! Time to raise our spoons, Breakfast Faithful!

Interested to see how limited of a run these mascots are going to be. I'm excited either way! Hope they won't be too hard to find/acquire

Think back to how hard it was to find the boxes of Pop Tarts that had the giveaway for the Avengers 2 Pops. There were plenty of boxes that didn't have the offer.

If that happened then there would be a cereal shortage across the country. It would be like a real life Willy wonka. Would be cool tho.

I disagree, I much prefer the newer versions of many characters who have been redone recently by Funko. However, I can't see the cereal monsters differing too much from the originals if redone.

I agree with you. Designs are more detail now and they keep on getting better. But with these I don't see how they can differ that much from the originals.

I can respect that. I was kinda comparing to movies and TV remakes as well. The batman white lantern rerelease was better than original. However the star wars ones are just different boxes same pop. I think part of the appeal to some of us, is the rarity of some pops. A lot of pops hit the streets, and are gone forever when sold. You have to stay on top of some releases to avoid getting scammed on ebay.
Rereleasing old pops slightly changed takes some of the rarity away, and some of the fun for some. Interesting topic, we will see what funko does going forward. That being said, If they do rerelease the cereal monsters, I will be first in line to purchase. I just hope isn't common practice going forward, and if it is, at least a new mold.

I'm actually a fan of the remakes. I know being a "collector" you have that urge to go for the more rare pieces, but to those of us who collect only certain things that we like, I think remakes are good. Some collectors started later than others and some collect casually. I think Funko has done a great job catering to the wide spectrum of collectors.
Now to these Cereal mascots, I think keeping the old mascots/icons in place and just making newer characters would be better. There aren't that many older ad icons, so saving up some cash to eventually collect the set is good enough. I mean Big Boy is an SDCC exclusive LE 480 piece, so it doesn't look like he will be remade. But that's just my opinion.

So if made a new big boy in a different box, no LE would you prefer that? The rarity of some items is important for collecting to some.

Personally, rarity has no bearing on what I buy. It might actually deter me from purchasing items, as I refuse to pay above retail for most things. Funko has stated, however, that they will choose to remake/resculpt a character rather than rerelease them, so there is no need to worry about an unvaulting situation like what was done with the Star Wars line. Has anyone researched whether or not a pop has decreased in value upon the release of a newer variant? Qui Gon is one that I know for sure hasn't, but what about Cruella, Ursula, Peter Pan, Belle?
The only reason I suggested new releases for the original cereal monster trio is because the newest additions are carrying cereal bowls, and I'm a stickler for uniformity. I'm also a huge fan of the characters and am not willing to pay the going rate. Plus, there's precedence in the Wobbler line.

Re: Kellogs Cereal pops
Woah, that Wobbler collection is amazing and LOL at the Empire Carpet guy!!!! Also, didn't know I needed Twinkie the Kid until I saw those. Wow. So many cool mascots.....and most are total nostalgia as that doesn't really seem to be a thing in modern times.

I used Big Boy as an example of Ad Icons not being re released in the same mold. Basically saying Big Boy isn't going to be made again and will probably be the only run of Big Boy in Pop form. That said, I was predicting that the other OG as Icons will not be remade or common for that matter.
Now, my preference on LE or non LE, that doesn't matter much to me. I have a bunch of common pieces that other people would probably care less for, but I enjoy them all the same. So if they made Big Boy a common with no LE, YES I would still go out and hunt for Big Boy as I used to enjoy going down and eating at a Big Boy restaurant. No change for me there whatsoever.
