Mine is a work in progress but I figured I'd throw a rough shot up here so you can see how it's shaping up. I just won a Rocky Balboa on eBay, waiting to stick him next to Apollo. I hope to keep seeing more great collections!

Would love some info on these shelves... Where to get them and how much... If you don't mind sharing. Love the look and don't have a big collection, so these would be perfect for me.

Thanks! I don't mind sharing at all. These are baseball bat display cases from Michael's Arts and Crafts. There are four of them here, 2 pairs stacked. They are hinged at the top and have magnetic closure. I wish the glass was a little less reflective but other than that they are great! The price is $59.99 each BUT they are always either buy one get one free or just 50% off. Plus every once in a while they have coupons for 20-30% off sale price, I paid like $26 for the last one I bought. Hope this helps and thanks again for the compliment!

Has anyone here put plexiglass doors on a bookshelf? I'm thinking of buying some big sheets of it, or maybe just one huge one, and attaching it with hinges and a magnetic closure. If anyone has experience with that, any pointers? We're getting a dog soon and I had a nightmare that the dog chewed up my Pops  so now I'm paranoid lol.

You guys are making me question whether I should keep mine in box or out of box, they look great either way! I'm thinking perhaps out of box and just keep my exclusive boxes, maybe? MAN SO MANY OPTIONS!

Kimchi, your display is what my dreams are made of. I could only hope to achieve two cases, let alone four! I'm not even an OOB.. but dang, this is awesome.

Kimchi, thanks for the lighting info, much appreciated :-)

Kimchi Pasta wrote:I'm considering swapping out the horizontal shelves for plexiglass. Buying a few huge sheets from Home Depot and putting my Dremel to work. The foam board is starting to warp a little at certain spots from the weight of the Pops. But that'll be a fall season project.

That's a great idea, it will give you better light distribution I'm sure. I'm an architect and used to build a lot of models out of painted plex (these days we mostly do 3D computer renderings). I would highly recommend you invest in a small hobby table saw, you can get one with a 4" blade for around 40 bucks. You're going to have to solvent weld the pieces together and it's important to have VERY straight cuts to get a good bond between the pieces, and you won't get straight enough cuts with a hand-held tool.
Howdy, I'm Tres :-)

New shelves, more risers, more Pops, even less space. :wizard_mickey:

These don't include the smaller displays of Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, Buffy, X Files, Family Guy, and Big Hero 6 that have been moved out to the living room. lol

I decided to clean my bookshelf and rearrange my collection. It is still a WIP but the bottom 2 shelfs are done.
Enjoy!

I noticed that they disappeared from the website a couple months ago but they do still carry them, in the two stores closest to me at least. I just bought one last week actually and there was even a new design on the paper that covers the glass in the packaging. I'm assuming these are the ones you're talking about?

Oh yes, they still have them. I bought one last week for 50% off....only $30. It's pretty much already full. My first one has 15 pops in it, which is pretty much the maximum that can fit. In general, 13 or 14 pops will fit quite easily.

My collection started a month and a half ago, and as of today I have a modest 22 pops.
I have them displayed on my work shelf for now until I can find a better spot for them.
All the Pop boxes are in clear protectors purchased from RetroProtection.

I have yet to meet a collector who feels bad about his collection. Collection is also about the story – the story behind how someone found it and purchased it.

This is my collection so far! My boyfriend and I just started collecting a few weeks ago! Sorry my display isn't all too decorative, We're planning on moving soon so we're waiting on investing in any cases or shelves until then. So for now... it's the backdrop for my desk :)

ps, Baymax there on top isn't actually kept there, he's just sitting on top for photo purposes.
