That would be a great venue idea!

Straight2VHS wrote:Did I miss the official Thrilljoy announcement beyond that they were having a party at SDCC? I just got my tickets to the Funmaker event today and was hoping for Thrilljoy too. I attended the Wondercon panel for Thrilljoy and unlike Funmaker there was no announcement on how to get tickets.

Exactly. Red eye, call out, you do what you need for Funko Fundays (silly Sunday edition)

In the past, we've had leaks, announcements at Wondercon, Twitter/X announcements, and surprise blog drops on Funko's site.

Exactly. Regardless of the fact I always take off that Monday off. Cheaper flight and I don’t miss out on anything.

This is the way. I always like to leave on monday. Just so I don't feel rushed.
I'm also not trying to get a rental car this time around and if I left sunday night. I would have to deal with checking out and storing stuff somewhere.

That’s an excellent point. Flights leaving on Sunday are always expensive. So it makes sense for me to leave on Monday.

blessed to live in southern california, where it's a short drive away. also commend those traveling to SDCC from out of town, it's not an easy journey. especially with all of the loot you'll get at the end of the convention.

It was so difficult last year to get all my stuff home. Had to ship some of it.

sakura17 wrote:Hoping fundays will still continue. I finally got to experience my first this year and Im hoping it won't be my last. I got to be on a wining team go proto pirates! I'm kinda disappointed that I didn't get extra pops. We were a fews tables back from stage so if people stood on their seats they definitely wouldn't see us. My table is not for the screaming match either.
They did show a video montage on Saturday not sure if it was there on Friday.
I do wish that if families already received something special like signed pops for their kids that they would sit down and finally give a chance to other fans. I saw one family get both signed pops. I saw one boy that got the Sean Astin pop and then got the treasure from proto at the end of the night. I know the workers don't know who gave what to who.
I hope they go with more anime pops for fundays or other sports categories.

California has lots to see and do. Other than Funko and conventions. Great place to visit
