Holy cow!!!

My jaw dropped when I saw the Taran/Horned King 2 pack. The Black Cauldron is probably my absolute favorite Disney animated film. It's such an odd outlier compared to the rest of their catalog.

I honestly never thought Pops would be made from this particular film, largely because of it's unusual place in the annals of Disney animation history.

This just shot up to the top of my SDCC want list. Now of course I'm hoping that we'll get the other main characters from the film at some point, especially Gurgi!!!

I love this! for all the same reasons - for a Disney item, it's a relatively obscure item.

It is very "un-Disney". Very dark tonally, no singing, an army of undead, the Horned King genuinely terrified a lot of children, etc. I was reading earlier that it was such a flop at the box office that it almost forced Disney animation to shut down. How crazy is that?

Can I pour out some more LOVE for these Black Cauldron pops? I really thought these would never be made, but this is one of my families all time favorite films/books and I am so pumped I was able to grab a set for my little sister for her birthday! She's not a big funko collector but instantly fell in love with these two. Day. Made. ^_^
