10” Dobby and Bailisk

We got Tom Riddle today and on Brickseek said that the 10" Jurassic Park was in our area but by the time I saw it and went to Target they were gone and the one that said it was still there said they won't release it till the street date of 7/8!! Those Dinos were released in CA a week or so ago I think.

I got the same release date from one of the Targets I went to about all three Harry Potter exclusives. Apparently 7/8 is the date for everything . My friend went to one and got a Tom Riddle. He said they had the 10”Dino in stock and that they had 9 with 5 people waiting for them.

The dinos and all 3 HP are all gone from the Vegas area. No one even mentioned a street date.

Woohoo. I was able to score Dobby and the Basilisk this morning. OMG....love Dobby! The Target I went to only got 4 Dobbies on the truck. So I guess each store gets 4?

I got the Target Tom Riddle and 10in T-Rex yesterday.

Congrats on the haul! That basilisk looks amazing! How would you say Dobby looks with your other pops? Given the new 10inch box they put him in?

I went on a small Pop Hunt on Friday did 4 Targets here in NYC and nothing with the Harry Potter Pops. Did see tons of 8 bit Stranger Things Pops but these 2 are gonna be a pain to track down.

I went on the search this morning for Sepia Tom Riddle and found that some of the Targets are saying that the street date for the 3 Harry Potter Exclusives isn’t until 7/8. One store couldn’t find the one Pop and the other told me how there is a new rule that they cannot sell them until the street date, and the third store was selling them so I was able to get one. I wish Target was consistent on this rule. One store back when they were getting in the 10” Thanos told everyone that it wasn’t being sold until a specific date (like a week later) and then turns around and sold theirs the very next day, which was not the date the store manager had told people it would be. If you are going to have a release date all stores should follow it, not pick and choose to follow rules. It is very frustrating when you just want one and the scalpers are grabbing them up to sell.

AMEN to this. Not going to lie, had success with Target over the weekend, but wow they are making me crazy with different answers both from store to store, and from day to day at the same store!!

Managed to snag Sepia Tom last Thursday - showed in stock on Brickseek, so off I went to get him. They pulled him from the back for me, super helpful, really much appreciated. Fast forward today when a friend and I are hunting minis, and I'm hunting another basilisk and Sepia Tom for an out of state friend. Go to the same friendly, helpful Target, where everything is still showing in stock. Ask electronics, since nothing is out, and am told that from now on they're not retrieving Funko from the back anymore. Say what now?? Also told the 7/8 date. Thanked them and walked away instead of going "SERIOUSLY???" Weirdest experience I've had at Target in awhile, and I've gotten a lot of run-around from Target lately...

Someone on facebook said that the date they show in their system is not a street date, but a set by date, meaning that when there is space on the shelves, they have to put the items out by at least that date. I don't know if that is true or not. We would need a Target employee to verify.

That's the biggest issue w/ Target and pops. It's always such a crap shoot with them. I got lucky by just randomly walking into one and saw Riddle on the shelf. :/ I'll take it over hunting every day, but it was just way random.

Ive heard that our Targets in WA wont be releasing them until 7/8. Normally we're able to find a couple of Targets that will sell early, but I haven't come across any. Im not on any other boards right now so I might have missed it.

Each area is different and some locations never get certain pops in. My advice would be to just keep checking Brickseek and local collector groups, if you belong to any.

I know there are quite a few collectors in my area, since I've waited with my fair share and also see others hunting Pop!s when I am. But as far as I know, there are no local groups. I check Brickseek every couple of hours, though. Haven't seen anything pop up.

I know when the Incredibles and Owen with Blue started dropping, I checked constantly, and finally found a store with stock, but they said they were gone at opening (Brickseek showed in-stock up until almost 5 PM, though, which I'm guessing is when maybe the department manager or something went home). The other Target which is about 20 minutes away, never showed in stock. I stopped checking when I finally found them on eBay for $20, and went that route.

I edited my previous post. Local collector groups are also a GREAT source of info on what’s been released or what people are seeing in stores. I typically check some Cali collector groups for HT releases as they often hit about a day before Vegas gets them.

Ebay is showing almost $50 for Basilisk and $60ish for Dobby

I ran into the same issue of some Targets putting out their HP merch, but majority will be putting out on 7/8. I also wish they would have one rule. But then again on the flip side... I do like that some Targets do not follow the game guide lines.. I know its 50/50 on the rules, but it still gives people hope to be able to get a chance at a case. The only thing that bugs me is that I never know which target is participating and which isnt. Its a waste of my gas. awww well. Happy Hunting
