Re: Darth Vader in Tie Fighter Pop! Deluxe
I'm hoping this one isn't $40 like Rey was. That's a bit too much. I'm that price tag was due to it being a convention exclusive so fingers crossed vader and his fighter are around $30

Man, this is fantastic! Can't wait to see more of this Pop! Deluxe line, really hoping for a Hera in the Ghost, that would be great!

I'm not sure what I think of it yet either. It is definitely a throwback to the Wobbler style. I'm more excited about seeing an AT-AT, Falcon, and Speeder Bike deluxe!
A speeder bike would be perfect for the line, and could even have a few variants! I'd be curious to see what an AT-AT or AT-ST would look like; I feel like at least the scout walker would fare much better than any starship would. The Falcon is just my favorite ship, and I would most likely buy it regardless of how it turns out.
Luke with a Snowspeeder would be pretty cool.

Yeah, it looks off, but still awesome.
Looks like Vader is riding the Tie Fighter similar to one of those animal/vehicle amusement devices for kids outside grocery stores.

Oh I'd lose it if they did Rebels Rides. Like Hera in Ghost and Sabine (w/helmet) in Phantom 2? Omg. Sign me up.

Re: Darth Vader in Tie Fighter Pop! Deluxe
Yeah, I want this. However, I went in my closest Target yesterday (which is over an hour away) and their Pop section was completely empty. They had a few commons over in the clearance aisle and a very few others scattered throughout toys, but their actual Funko section was completely empty of Pops.

I don't know if I'm quite in love with it, I think I have to see it in person first. Maybe I've just been spoiled with the Haun Taun and Landspeeder Luke proportions.

The X-Wing would be a perfect sdcc exclusive for this year!! Funko is on fire these days!! The wobbler version of this is super awesome so I can only imagine the POP will be just as rad!!

Re: Darth Vader in Tie Fighter Pop! Deluxe
Funko went ahead and did exactly what I hoped they wouldn't, put a character on top of an enclosed vehicle. This works great for speeders, terrible for spaceships. This looks stupid. An easy pass.

Re: Darth Vader in Tie Fighter Pop! Deluxe
I am conflicted about this one. I love that all the other Pop Deluxes are pretty much the correct scale for the character to the mode of transportation. This one definitely is not. But then, it is an enclosed vehicle, so I guess this is a way to actually see the Vader, but I guess they could have had him inside with a slightly clearer window in the TIE Fighter. He does look kinda silly or at least he will next to the other Deluxe figures...until they make more like this? I appreciate that it's kinda of a nod toward the original wobbler, but I just am not sure about it yet. Also really wondering what the price is going to be. If it is $40 like the Rey I may have to pass, at $30 though...maybe? Who am I kidding, it's Vader. I have like a 97% certainly that I am going to get it.

Re: Darth Vader in Tie Fighter Pop! Deluxe
Now it makes sense! All Target stores are resetting the Funko section this week and I'm positive this is the dpci for Vader in Tie Fighter because it rings up at $27.99 which I knew was too high to be a regular Pop ride. We'll know soon because my system shows them as arriving on 6/12. Good luck everyone!

Yeah, I have mixed emotions about how much it looks like a wobbler, tbh. I will buy it because I am a completist, but idk, I'm not 100% feeling it. The other pop rides have been much better.
