What Pop line was your first? And what do you collect now?

Steven Universe got me hooked when I first saw the Pops, the Pops being the only form of decent SU merch at the time also helped.

I only have the complete SU Pop set and a Grodd Pop I bought at HT when I couldn't find Winston for a good price, but I'm planning on expanding to other franchises that catch my eye (The Dark Crystal being one of 'em).

I started super lame with Dancing Groot, then expanded to my favourite gaming franchise Assassin's Creed and after that pretty much started collecting anything I saw and liked. The most recent line I got into is Freddy Funko which thankfully has become easier to obtain with a lot of cool variations through Funko Shop.

I own the complete sets of Arrow and Assassin's Creed and most of the GotG.

I started way back in around 2013, the Donald Duck pop was the one that got me into collecting. Started with exclusively Disney, but gradually got pulled into the Funko hole I collect pretty much anything that catches my eye now.

Started very recently (about two weeks ago) with Daredevil. For a while, I didn't collect pops because they all looked the same to me (A lot of them still do. They're too vanilla) but the masked/costumed heroes and distinctive characters break that mold nicely. Currently collecting Daredevil, Flash, Gotham, Sherlock, Hateful Eight, Alice in Wonderland (just the Mad Hatters and Cheshire Cats), Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, and exclusives that catch my eye. (Currently just have Crossbones (Battle Damage)(Target), Dr. Strange w/Rune (SDCC), and Underwater Batman (SDCC))

First Pop! was Captain America as a gift back in 2005 or 2006. After that I picked up some other Pop!s on clearance at Target (Nick Fury, Batman, Robin, Joker) and was hooked. I don't collect any specific line (I buy what I like), but enjoy collecting Harry Potter and Star Wars the most. I think what I enjoy most about the hobby is getting other people into collecting. My sister may not be thrilled her husband and kids are collecting, but I love it!

Black Friday 2015....Bob's Burgers set reeled me in...that same weekend my lil cousin gave me the HT Mystery box Joker after that i started back tracking into other lines with the help of my cousins who got me started now almost a year later i have almost 300 and i don't see myself stopping, and there are still grails like Notorious BIG hand Jimi Hendrix and Michael Jacksons i want to get simply for the personal nostalgia they bring besides that I love what marvel does I just wish they were more into the classic characters like they've started to do with Doc Ock and Falcon and She-Hulk and bring more x-men out which i hear is already in the pipeline

My first line was Pop! Rock. My husband bought me the Beatles Collector set for my birthday a few years ago. Now I'm at nearly 300 pops and collect everything from Disney to Star Wars. Right now I'm focused on finishing several incomplete sets

I think I picked up Mr. Incredible in his blue suit first. Then, I started going after DC lines (mostly Batman versions) and now it's too crazy.

Came across a Jason Voorhees Pop on Amazon. It was a really good price for such a neat little collectible and I was eager to find out if Funko had any other of my favorite horror characters. That's when I discovered the horror line of Pops and fell in love.

I officially started with Sam and Dean Winchester and have almost the whole line, but opted to not get a couple of the Castiel variants(Steve and French Mistake) but I'm ok with that. I'd love another wave with NEW characters someday...

After that I collect Doctor Who, Star Trek, Marvel, DC, Horror, Harry Potter, TMNT and a lot of random ones.
Some randoms are Robocop, Neo, Clark Griswold, Kratos, He-Man, some Ghostbusters, Lion-O etc etc etc...

The only line I reaaaalllly want all of are Doctor Who, but a couple are out of my price range right now, so that may never happen.
AND I hope for many more waves from it too!

My first was Star Wars. It all started with a Jawa. Then my mother-in-law bought me a Hipster Ariel, because she looked like me.

Now I collect Star Wars, Disney, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Marvel, some DC (Mostly Harley and Batgirl with some Batman and other characters mixed in), DC TV, Freddys, Horror and other movies, Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, cartoons, Ghostbusters, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Sherlock, etc. I really just collect what I like. If I see it and like it I'll collect it if I can afford it.

Finally caved (last year?) when they announced the Elder Scrolls/Fallout Pops. I guess Skyrim was my first.

Lines I collect(ed) or want:
Skyrim (complete as of now)
Elder Scrolls Online (complete as of now)
Fallout (started, but soon sold the few exclusives I had due to financial issues, don't think I could keep up now with constant releases now )
CW DC TV or "Arrowverse" (I have the main "normal" ones, need the newer Arrow/Flash ones and the newly announced Legends of Tomorrow)
DC Extended Universe [Man of Steel, BvS, Suicide Squad, etc.] (hope to start collecting sometime...)

My first pop was Notorious BIG from SDCC. So I went all in and collected all the POP ROCKS Hip Hop figures: Tupac, Run-DMC and Public Enemy. I even got the Urban Vinyl editions of Pac and BIggie. Anything hip hop. But since the Music line died, I stick to WWE now and the random advertising ones.

My daughters collect Disney Princesses and Harry Potter. My wife is kind of starting with surfing Batman & Joker. So I get to hunt for them vicariously.

My first two pops were from DC universe and Animation, I still have some DC, but for the most part have shifted toward Star Wars and Marvel. But it's interesting to see how a lot of the collectors in my local community have switched to different lines as well. Awesome topic

I currently only collect Marvel.

I would like to collect other lines, but keeping up with the Marvel Pops already sucks up too much of my time!

Started with Game of Thrones but sold most of those off when it got too out of control. I've started collecting GoT minis now and sticking to Pops of characters I really like. At this point, I only have Stannis, Rey with lightsaber, Yoda, R2-D2, dancing Groot, Jaime Lannister, and Jamie Fraser.

My first pops were the Minions. I already had an extensive Minion collection in other forms and thought these would be cool to add. But they opened the door to horror pops, which fed my movie genre obsession and then it spun out from there and now we have hundreds from almost every Pop genre. Movies and TV are still my faves (Adventure Time, Buffy, Doctor Who, Firefly, Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Wars, Wacky Races, etc.), but I just collect what I like.

Nightwing from the DC Universe was my first. Other than 4 Guardians of the Galaxy Pops I received as a Father's Day gift last year, the rest of my Pops are DC-centric (DC Universe, Flash, BvS, etc.).

With some of the upcoming Pops that have been announced, I may possible broaden my scope a bit. I'll have to wait and see.
