Because they make pops for almost everything i love. They are easy to display and say what it is on the box if some didn't know. Very practical for collecting

I never read it like that. But, that's a good point. I would too.
Would be nice
As for why I collect them, ever since I was a kid in the 60's and 70's I've always been drawn to models and toys with caricature/ cartoony proportions. I went on a collecting hiatus beginning in high school and continuing through college and my early married years, then picked back up again around 20 years ago collecting the same stuff I had as a kid. Pops are really the first "new" thing I've collected, most everything else has been vintage. I like their cartoony proportions and the fact that they dovetail with my movie/ TV interests. And I really like the Pop Rides, they actually have a similar look to a lot of the Revell and Monogram models I have collected for decades.Howdy, I'm Tres

Pops allow me to collect the adorable versions of my favorite horror movie characters at a very affordable price.

Re: Why do you buy?
I got hooked after seeing Sam and Dean from Supernatural, when I realized it wasn't just superheroes, but also pop culture versions as well. I liked the simply design, the goofy black eyes and just the overall stylized look to them. I quickly got hooked on Marvel, horror and various random characters and even dabbled into some DC and TMNT. I knew for a fact I was hooked when I heard Star Trek TNG, Doctor Who and Harry Potter were coming and since then I've been quite addicted.
The prices for them overall aren't too painful when you only get a couple at a time, so that also helps.
I feel they are a cool way to show off my fandoms for current shows/movies and as they continue to make ones for past shows and movies, I'm never going to be able to stop.
So far my wife is ok with my collection...at 145 strong...we'll see how she feels in another 145 or 200, ha. Ugh.

I've been into the vinyl figure scene for a while now -- originally started out with Dunnys, then vinylmation, etc. I like POPs because they aren't blindboxed. It was hard for me to get what I wanted for Dunnys, etc because of the blindbox factor. I'll never get into mystery minis because I've already been down that road and spent way too much money.

I liked wobblers, then I got bored waiting for new wobblers and bought a couple pops. Then I wanted more pops. And it was fun.

Keeps me off the hard drugs
It's really just cause I like Funko products. They make me happy. And I love the community around it. I've met some amazing people through our mutual Funko addictions. I've always had a collectors mentality (read: hoarding habits) but it's the people that have kept me interested this long rather than moving on to the next shiny thing.

Re: Why do you buy?
Sorry for my English:
I buy because I like to collect , besides that take figures that of movies, TV shows, people that I like and do not take other companies ( Baby Metal, Scar Face , Karate Kid, etc ) I also enjoy its simple but attractive stetic.
He first no called my attention(I would more for the Nendoroids) until I saw the Colossal Titan Funko, It was very large and nicer than the Nendoroid version. there I began to like , the first thing was to buy Goku, then I buy Daniel Larusso, and I was about to buy marty and Delorean, but I don't like the plastic was made the delorean, the plastic are very soft.
So, just I buy the characters I like, now I'm just waiting to buy a few and I really have no desire to have a large collection such as those shown here.

perfectflaw00 wrote:I buy because pops are a way to display the wide array of tastes I have across all forms of media without taking up a god awful amount of space. I'd love to collect the hot toys or side show collectibles but honestly I'd need an entire room to house them in. Add to that the vast amount of licenses that are covered across all types of interests and it was a no brainer for me to start collecting, plus at roughly 10 bucks a pop its an economical hobby as well.
Pretty much this

Re: Why do you buy?
I'm a huge Disney fan, so when I saw them come out I thought they were very cute. That was in 2011. I never thought there would be so many.
And then I would see other series like Marvel and WWE and I wanted those too.
