Resurrecting old thread since I am a new member and started collecting about a month ago.

Last year I saw Captain America Barnes & Nobles Exclusive. I passed on it because I thought it looked ugly lol

Sorcery Mickey (also at B&N) was one I actually wanted to buy I just put it off and never got to it.

Woody and Buzz 2-3 years ago at Frys. Not interested in these two but they worth more now.

Bat Girl at a comic shop was $14.00. I didn't buy it because I said to myself, Pops are only $9.00 at Barnes & Nobles XD

EDIT: I still see Superboy around but I pass on him because he looks so ordinary to me.

Hipster Ariel was on ebay for like $30-$40ish like a week ago and I just assumed it wasn't going to go up any more so I'd get it later... Fast forward a few days later when Jasmine surfaced and now Hipster Ariel is double in price >.<. I hope it goes down once the whole Hipster Jasmine phase dies down.

I forgot to add one more that I really regret. Last year I went into a Hot Topic for the first time and passed on a White Raven from Teen Titans. She is worth so much now... and I actually liked that pop.. I think I saw Cyborg there too...

This isn't that bad but I found a Jafar in Barnes and Noble a while back and picked something much more common over it. I know it's only valued at like $24 on the price guide but I'm bummed I didn't get it at retail when I could have. I never saw it before then and I haven't seen it since.

When I first started collecting (about 3 years now) I had the choice of purchasing a GITD Green Lantern for 70 bucks, a B&W Wonder Woman for 60 bucks, or a GITD Oogie Boogie for 40 bucks. In the end i bought the oogie Boogie. I never got the chance to buy that Green Lantern or Wonder Woman at such a low price ever again. I also held back on buying B&W Captain America (still dont have it), and numerous Freddies from Gemini back when they had 2011 and 2012 Freddies in Stock. I regret not buying a lot of stuff haha

GITD Oogie is still a great piece to have at that price but I can understand about being a lil miffed aout passing up the GITD GL at that price #-o

There were a ton of series 1 and 3 Disney Pops at B&N 50% off. I only picked up a couple but passed on others like Cheshire, Genie, Tink, Hatter, Sparrow...there was a bunch of them. And here I thought that nah, they'll be there for ages if it was 50% off. Whoops.

Late last year there was a guy on FB selling off a Wizard of Oz set of 7 for $150, even at the time, it was a bargain (at least in Australian dollars) but still I thought too myself, "nahhh I dont want to spend that much money on Pops right now." Nowadays, try and get one of Dorothy, Glinda or the Wicked Witch for even half of that amount -___-

It's funny how you don't care about something at first then it becomes expensive and hard to get and now you want to have it.... The dilemma of funko madness

She was?! I could swear that back in April she was going for $70-80 easily.

I'm pretty sure she was. I looked a few times and remember seeing her for at least $40ish. Maybe it was an auction or something? I was just starting to look for my favorites at the time so I could definitely have missed that or maybe confused her for another pop?

Disney's Grumpy. Saw him a couple of months ago for retail price in a popular store. Thought he was a great looking pop, even grabbed the box and was seriously about to buy it, but then decided to give him a miss because I was short on money that week. Damn!

Another one was The Thing, quite recently, for retail price in a small, not very well known collectibles store that I go to. While buying that Thing would have been a perfect opportunity to make some quick cash, let's be honest, I'm not a Marvel collector, so the only reason I would have been buying it would have been to flip it off at a higher price lol

So I left it, and I HOPE the person who found it was somebody who really wanted it and got to experience the thrill of finding a grail in the wild!

The thing is that you look at a Pop and you think "That'll stick around for a while" or "There's no way something like that will be hard to find later on." Next thing you know, the damn Swashbuckling Zombie from the Plants vs Zombies line is selling for $40 at the cheapest!

The Epic Mickey line, the Rocky line, even the Genie or Captain Hook...I was obviously a very naive collector when I first started out, because I saw each of these selling for chump change in comparison to what they're selling for now!

Missed the White Lanterns and Blue Lanterns just this week on Fugitive by waiting just a couple hours too long, but the most memorable is Alan & Carlos from the Hangover. It was one of those Pops that we had seen around at stores before starting our collection, but had no reason to get at the time of course. Shame we didn't just get it for the humor value then.

Mine is the Logan (wolverine) pop.. I saw it all the time when I first started collecting and thought "oh, he'll be around, he's such a common figure".. big mistake. As most of you know, he wasn't produced as a bobblehead and therefore pulled.. as a big wolverine fan, he's definitely my number one grail vinyl or bobblehead ):

It seems like there are quite a lot of really cool Pops that are vaulted and a lot of really crappy Pops that nobody wants that are in every store and on every website.

King Leonidas. Oh, King Leonidas...I had the chance to get him at Retail before I started collecting. A couple of chances, really. At that moment I only had one Funko someone got for me as a gift and I really had no idea what they were all about. So I started browsing to see what other characters they had. I had seen Leonidas in a store, at a convention, and he was on my Amazon wishlist. I kept thinking "Oh he'll be around for a while."

I was so wrong.
