My rarest POP is the 1/18 red &blue 9" Mickey Mouse from Fundays '12. I paid $200 for it. Which is the first time I shelled out more than retail value for a pop. But it was my grail, and I love it.

However, my rarest FUNKO piece in general is the white Fluttershy MLP vinyl. Was graciously offered it by Cory in trade. I guess that one is 1/2? Maybe?

Not sure if we have much in the line of rare in our collection, we collect what we love. However, I would have to say probably our B&W Captain America Signed by Stan Lee, granted neither his signature or the pop itself are rare, the combo Is unique.

Most rare in my collection:

1/12 Crazy Color Batman Proto
1/12 Freddy Batman
1/12 Glow Freddy Joker

I'll soon be adding something else rare to my collection ;-)

I collect not because they are rare or because I plan to one day make money, but because I want a complete Batman related Pop set :-D I look at them everyday and they make me happy.

My rarest pop (in terms of what the value is now) is probably my Star Wars Shadow Trooper, paid $15.00 for him.

But I would also say my B&W TT Wonder Woman (1/240) is a rare piece too as she is hard to find for sale at a decent price. I bought her, retired Loki and Helmet Thor in a package deal.

My rarest would be my 1/12 Freddy Stark. I was lucky enough to get him!! :)

My hardest to get Pop though, is the 1/96 Freddy Stark. It took me 5 months to get a hold of him last year. So he would be my rarest on my terms.

Rarest pieces as far as Edition size, B&W Captain America and Flocked Beast. Rarest as valuable and seemingly sought after, Gold Loki and Shadow Trooper. Best buy is 01 Loki. Fun fact, right before everyone went crazy for Loki my Target clearenced them out, meaning they sat around so long that they went 90% off and still couldn't sell them. I personally had to destroy around 15 of them, what we do with any merchandise that ends up clearenced out. Thats actually when I bought mine and started my Funko collection. So I got 01 Loki for like .89 cents if I remember right. I know this happened cause my store way over purchased on the figures. I am not sure if all stores ended up doing this.
I collect Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, Game of Thrones and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Name is exactly what is in my user name, Justin.

Well, according to previous threads an All-White proto would be pretty rare since there are only two released. Using that guideline, mine would be the All-White protos of DK Joker and Bank Robber Joker. Closely behind would be the color protos, only 5 released per figure (Jase Robertson, Phil Robertson, Uncle Si, Jack Sparrow and Joker) Next would be the Joker Metallic Bobblehead POP, not sure the real world count on these piece. Finally would be the 12 count pieces (GID Joker Freddy and Crazy Color Joker Proto)

Of course there are the 1/1 or 1/2 customs I have created, lol

Like Jim said above, most protos are more rare than any production piece since there are usually only 2 white and 4-5 color protos I think. With that said I guess any one of my protos would be my most rare piece, my favorites being my Hannibal and 9" Steamboat Willie (color & white) protos.

Gold Loki, for what at the time seemed an obscene price. Though looking at prices now, I seem to actually have gotten him rather cheap.

This one is a little tough for me. It's either Loki, Gold Loki, or Metallic Amazing Spider-Man (Japan Exclusive Blu-Ray Collectors Edition). Obviously Loki stands out, but getting the Metallic Amazing Spider-Man (Japan Exclusive Blu-Ray Collectors Edition) was a pain in the a**. Seriously it was hard to find and the few times I would find it the prices were ridiculous or the shipping cost was through the roof. I eventually found an ebay seller from Japan selling them for a decent price. I don't know how hard they are to find now, but at the time it was tough.

My top rarest would by my 1/96 Freddy Stark, like a few others. My first grail was Gold Loki, but Freddy Stark was the one that I really wanted, and I scoured the boards and the internet for months. The chase is over half the fun, even when paying over retail. There's something satisfying in searching and searching, then finally opening up the package and having all your hard work and hair pulling come to fruition.

I have other runs, such as the B&W Captain America, and the 2011 SDCC Metallic Cap, which was pretty annoying to find. For the most part, the rare pieces in my collection came from being a new collector who arrived later in the game. Right now, I focus on buying what I like with some customs thrown in.
