Harry Potter Wave 2 Sightings

I think we only ever got one Dementor into my store (BN) and I haven't seen it again since, which is odd. We've gotten restocks of pretty much all the other characters though. (Except Dobby, never saw him again either.) Weird.

I think the last place I saw this wave was Hastings, but that won't be helpful if you don't have one nearby.

Wave 3 hasn't been officially announced yet, so there's no date on it, I believe.

Good to know it's not just my local stores. Ive seen some dementors at FYE but the boxes there tend to be more beat up. It's also a pain to search for characters with their setup.

I bought the last one left from local BN. I agree I don't see it restocked like the other characters.

To be honest, the dementor is in such a dark gray/black color that I don't think paint flaws would matter much imo. I do think it is a cool pop to have, I stared at it for paint flaws and felt like a bit of my soul was being drained away lol

I don't know if this is every store or not, but lately we've been getting more restocks of Sorting Hat Harry and just recently got in the Hogwarts Express pieces. So if you're still looking for the BN Exclusive Harry, maybe try checking again!

If that doesn't work, I can try to grab one for you on Friday when I go back to work. These should be getting restocked though. We've gotten about 10 more since their initial release. But anyway, let me know!

I'm patiently waiting for wave 3. I love HP but I'm trying to not double up characters. However, I do have both Dumbledore's. One is Richard Harris and one is Michael Gambon though.

I don't have Ron or Hermione yet. No Malfoy cause I'm eh on him. I didn't get any of the train or Voldemort or a Dementor. I'm not a full collector, just buying who I like. I'm hoping a red-eyed Voldemort will be created. Not really part of it but sortof, I bought a Newt from B&N.

I keep hoping for the official announcement and reveal of the Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them Pops! I love the Newt one that was the convention exclusive and can't wait to see what the other ones in this line will be. But don't get me wrong, I am eagerly anxious for Wave 3 from Harry Potter as well! If the rumors are true there are some great ones that I definitely want to add to my collection!

Yeah, let me know if you can't get one, too. If you can't order one or if others don't pan out I can check my B&N. They had a bunch of them a few days ago.

From the rumors I've seen from Wave 3, I'm going to be super happy. Also, Fantastic Beasts Pops sound like they will be, well, fantastic!

The unannounced as yet list which is out there looks great minus the exclusives and will really add a lot to the range already out.
What was the difference in time between wave 1 and wave 2? , im sure wave 2 came out ages ago, or seems like it lol

I want to get Ron and Hermione, too, at some point. I’m hoping they’ll eventually make a polyjuiced cat version of Hermione. For Ron, I’m not sure what they could do as a variant I'd be interested in except put him in his maroon Christmas sweater. Maybe a version of him with the Weasley Is Our King badge? I only have Quidditch Harry and the Richard Harris Dumbledore so far, and I kind of regret getting the Dumbledore since it didn't look as good as the pictures. I thought about getting Quidditch Draco, but something about the hair doesn’t look very good to me.

I’d also like if they eventually made Luna with lion head costume and Neville with the Sword of Gryffindor.

Wave 1 was summer 2015 - like July I believe - and wave 2 came out in March, so about 7-8 months about. So wave 3 would be October/November'ish. Would be great Christmas presents!

I forgot from my post earlier. I saw a Dementor randomly at my local Target last week. Just for those looking, I'd check Target. My Target is terrible with Pops too. It was really odd to see the Dementor and no other HP's.

My B&N has made their one HP table into two. They had 7 of Sorting Hat Harry after not having him in store at all. I ordered mine online when they were released and picked up in store.

When Target set up the "mini" Funko sections in the media area of their stores, they were set up with one full display of Wave 2 Harry Potter Pops! And the 2nd display was Suicide Squad. Now they have becomes mixed and the HP ones seem to randomly get restocked.

since Funko Pop blocked us with PC I seriously hope Target actually stocks these, in store and online... if not then Funko needs to seriously stop giving exclusive rights to retailers who have no clue what they're doing especially when it comes to something as big as Harry Potter.

Uhh suddenly I dont feel bad about passing on quidditch Harry anymore...
I dont wanna have 300 Harries. Ive already got the sorting hat one, but wanted one more to pair with my quidditch draco (which looked better on the photo, whoever mentioned it...)

I can't really think of any other Harry variants we could get except for maybe invisibility cloak, and potentially holding the locket horcrux or the elder wand, but those would be kind of pushing it. I can't think of any real character changes that would warrant a Pop.

still holding out hope for a GITD opaque stag patronus :p

Exactly. I try to keep only one version of each character I like. The only exception so far has been Harley Quinn and Ron (I made a pair with a Hermione). That means no more Rons for me.
I have not yet bought the first wave Hermione because I am afraid they will release another bunch and I will be disappointed. (I bought the one with the gown tho, because I have seen a video which showed how beautiful her hair details were, and I wanted the ron = hermione pair).
It's been a long time I have read HP, and I did dig it back then, so I am buying for the old memories, as I am not that into it right now. I only need the main characters, or my favourites.
I also have the feeling a lot of the versions are too similar. I bought the sorting hat one because it was different from all the others, but overall most HP pops have similar poses.

Just wait. I'm in the Uk too, and Ive spent money getting exclusives sent from PopCultcha and a couple months/weeks later they show up at Forbidden Planet. If PopCultcha is getting it, then other places abroad also will. If you do not find them at the .com website, try the .co.uk which is a different Forbidden Planet, and they normally get the exclusives and ship for free. Pop in a Box sometimes also receives some.
It's been also listed at other websites abroad, so maybe give it a week.
Same cannot be said about Walmart exclusives. Now that's impossible to find elsewhere.
