Ive seen people getting them in socal, but havent seen anything for phx..
but either eay, the target employees are already locking in the chases... man, there should be some rule against that ish....

You've seen specific examples of employees getting Chases?? Are is that just more unsubstantiated rumors?

yes, actually I talked to an employee at a local target about a chase figure - this was when Civil War was out... and he told me that there were employees that would show up on their off days to see what Pops had come in, and cherry pick them and set them aside to be bought next time they were working. I told him that i felt that this was unfair and he basically shrugged.

I have also experienced this for sure at a couple of my different local walgreens, especially when the pennywise chase was going through the roof.

Not that I doubt you heard that, but why would they wait to buy anything until they're working again? It's not like they only get their discount on the days they're working. That's weird.

The only store on brickseek I saw in san diego was escondido...

The Target just south of town got three in this morning. I checked Brickseek and gave it a whirl. No chases and another collector was happy to snag one. They look great. Picked one up for myself. The local Facebook group has not reported any chases yet. Looks like three per store is what is going down with this shipment. Happy hunting everyone!

My good deed of the day...sigh. :lol:

Get to Target. Five people ahead of me in line so I already know I'm boned, but I stick around for giggles anyway. We get into electronics. Guy knows what we're looking for and goes back to look, but can't find it anywhere. Brickseek says it's there, so we all sort of hang out for a bit. I finally say screw it and go to leave because there's zero chance of me getting it anyway. As I'm leaving, I notice a Funko Stranger Things box on a skid in clothing. I decide (for the first of two times) to do the right thing and go back to tell them. We all look through the skid, but don't see anything, and they all head toward the doors. I keep looking, though - and there it is. Funko Grady Twins. I have a moment of horrible internal conflict, as my wife really REALLY wants this...but in the end, I do the right thing once again and call out to them to let them know. They come back and the first three in line get the Gradys.

Devastated as this was probably my only shot at it, but I can sleep at night knowing I did the right thing since they were in line first.

Feels like that just finding a regular on. For every 1000 pops a you pass up you might see the twins pack.

Good News: Just got the normal Grady Twins.

Bad News: I am pretty sure an employee just hid a chase right in front of my face.

So I went to my 3rd target. They said they didnt have any on the phone, but they were in stock on brickseek. Right when I get there I see an employee with one grady twins and a box. He gave the one in his hand and then I asked to see the other 2 in the box. He showed me one of them and refused to show me the 3rd. He said "theyre all the same" but was talking nervous. I took the one and he rushed off. He put the other on hold for another customer and folded up the box with the 3rd in it. Then I went to the customer service desk to look at all 3 to "compare boxes". It was a different employee and he said there was only one other one and avoided my question about the 3rd.

In conclusion, 1 of 3 things happened.

1) The employee was fed up cuz I was being pushy about a toy.

2) He was holding one for himself, but it was just a normal one. He also said "you can only take 1" and maybe he just wanted one for himself, not just a chase.

3) My assumption was true and he hid a chase.

I would've taken the whole box,sold them to fund my DC collecting and slept like a baby,good on you though!

I got my Twins today.

Quick story:
I was at Target 30 min before open. At open, the SM opened the door and greeted me nicely, welcoming me into his store. I walked over to electronics where they were setting the new layout. I asked the woman working for assistance. She promptly went into the back to find the pop. After about 10 minutes, she came out and apologized, letting me know that she couldn't find them (though she knew they had three she shared). I thanked her for her time and told her I'd maybe stop back after a while.

On my way out, the SM and one of the shift leads were having a discussion at the store front. The SM stopped me and inquired about my luck. I shared that the associate was great and looked in the back, but just couldn't find the pop. They too knew they had three in stock and said they were having issues finding it. It was at this point my fortune changed, the SM offered to take my name and phone number and he would call me when they found them. I was thinking, "How many times have I heard this before?"

I thanked them for their time and consideration for taking my name and #. I went out in the parking lot and contemplated my next store to visit, knowing I had already given up the first 20 minutes of open time. About 5 minutes went by and I received a phone call from the store manager, letting me know they were able to find them.

I walked back in and went straight to the pop section. To my amazement there sat two Grady Twins pops, of which the front was a chase! I barely contained my excitement. I walked up to the front where my new best friend, the store manager offered to ring me up. I told him how much I appreciated his service and the assistance of the associate this morning and that of the worker last week for Crota.

It's great to see retailers genuinely caring about making sales and taking care of their customers!

Congrats! That's how collecting should be!

I wish I could find the chase Grady Twins but don't think it'll ever happen. I live in a big city and I hate racing other collectors through Target for items first thing in the morning. I had to do it for a Nintendo Switch and even though I was first in line at opening, I couldn't get to electronics quicker than the others. You need to be pretty aggressive around here so it's good to hear that you had an experience like you did. Target workers get a lot of hate (and sometimes deservedly so), but glad you had an honest and helpful worker at your store!

Barley scored the twins this morning after a collector friend told me there was 1 left. Rushed to the store and got there around 9 just as they were putting out the stranger things shipper....and also scored the rare "wild chase" Hopper! My friend wanted me to check for hazmat Joyce. I replied "no hazmat but they brought a whole shipper out." She was like "look for a chase, people have been finding them in the shipper!" I was trying to be slick but these guys are on their pop game...so I sent her a pic of the chase I scored for them and replied "you mean this?" Worked out great for both of us!

That's awesome. I already had a Hopper so I left them, but I did pick up a Demogorgon. And I must say, the ST Dorbz were pretty nice looking as well.
