Hoping for an organized chaotic event :bounce:

Hopeful for the same. I feel that a lot of the event staff have transitioned elsewhere but seems like the staffing for Hollywood have experience managing crowds. All the signings and other events have really helped.
I'm excited and hopeful that it will be worth the trip.

Hmm that’s an interesting take. Maybe I’ll have to consider trying to get tickets and make the trip.

Sadly I can’t trust my memory. I’ll forget what I’m doing very easily so any shortcut I can do to remember the better. That and my gurl is an order tyrant. She makes a list and labels for everything to ensure she’s not missing and if so to make sure she gets it.

Interesting.

Yea she’s my yang to my ying . But I got to admit the way she has things in order makes life so much easier for me to not get duplicates.

Me too but it is not looking good. I was sure they would continue it given it might be the one thing keeping non hardcore people interested in Funko

Fundays may be something different this year at SDCC! Maybe just some kind of general get together with no party setting!

Looks like - very different...

Thrilled with the announcement today. They don't have Mike anymore and make this type of pivot, brilliant, let's go! I love them for not trying to repeat what he was able to do and most likely not live up to it and instead take on an entire new approach, love it!

Yes I think it was a great opportunity to make for that transition.
Also gives their team some time to breathe and enjoy the evening at SDCC and not be just overworked doing Booth and Event.
I think this will allow them to really put some extra thought into it.

Very well said too friend. I truly hope they can step into their own. I feel like it's gonna be an upgraded version of the Olympics thing they hosted or sdcc event in that parking lot, can't remember what it was in 2021 was too long ago. The groundwork has been laid! Going all three days lol?

Today’s Fundays announcement was definitely a big change from Funko. I’m intrigued and curious to see what the various Pops!/boxes will look like.
Funko interests:
-Ewok Pops!
-Mortal Kombat Pops!
-TMNT sodas
-Funko tees

if i were to guess, it might be relatively similar structure as funkon hollywood 2021. where each day will have timeslots and you get queued into a tent where you might participate in games, giveaways, etc. before heading into the store to pick up exclusives. sounds like you'll get a box of fun as well.

Thank you, I had a brain fart on what that was - goes to show you how memorable it was. I did score a proto so that was a plus. I hope tho it isn't just lining up in that tent again lol. Nevertheless beggers can't be choosers.

I hope they go back to individual themed events. The airplane idea was kinda boring.
I would like them to make the horror box again.

I’m kinda torn on this one. I love the idea of limited POP’S, but I don’t like that you have to pay the heavy price just to own something that is a common with a sticker. I got into collecting Funko because it was affordable. I feel they are pricing me out of the game.

I couldn't have said this any better myself. One of the main reasons why I personally got into collecting Funko at all was because I could get a lot of cool figures of characters I loved without breaking the bank. The variations and rarities allowed for the "hunt" that kept me interested longer. Unfortunately, I think Funko might be looking at the things we love (rarities and various ways of obtaining) and bringing them back after an insane oversaturation but in a way to really bump their profits which takes away from the community/collector aspect

Definitely want to see them get back to more unique molds and not re-use them.

I think the NFT lines are doing well, but more unique characters!
