Flocked would be really cool. I would have assumed they would have made a ton given it's basically a target advertisement. But oh well

Agreed .... maybe we will see another pose or flocked in the future !

I wonder how these did in terms of profitability for Target - Given the popularity of Funko and so many Funko exclusives at target, I would have to think they come back

It would have to be a new version such as the flocked because I've never seen a case, like this, where they went back and brought out a pop like that again.

Mikasa from attack on Titan. Scouting for a few months at around £40 - £50 and then I came across a bundle on eBay selling mikasa, eren, eren Titan form, eren Titan form rage mode and colossal titan that I won for £70.

I already had eren, eren Titan form and colossal titan with a stained box. Kept mikasa, Titan form rage mode and swapped colossals. Made a little profit by buying a pop I wanted.

I got lucky with Mikasa and was able to find her at a local comic shop for retail

I only started collecting Christmas 2017 because my partner wanted Glen with baseball cap to be our first. I bought her Levi from AoT because I was bored of waiting then our buying just escalated, unfortunately all the ones we want are hardly going to be RRP :( (still don’t have THAT glen though)

If so, which one of the pops from your collection turned into a Grail?

I think we should reassess the term “grail”. A grail requires actual hunting for something you don’t know where it is vs just saving up money to buy it on eBay.

Since the original definition of "grail" is a single mythical religious artifact that I'm almost certain no pop qualifies as, I don't think anyone is out of line using the more general definition of "grail" (something greatly desired/sought after) :)

Maybe not a "common" but was not very hard to get or too expensive when he came out but The 100 Lincoln as Reaper. Both the SDCC and the Summer Convention versions are so so expensive today ... $400 give or take ... and climbing! I remember he was pretty easy to get $50 or so for the Summer Convention Sticker version and $80 or so for the SDCC 2017 version. I'm thrilled because I was able to grab 2 at SDCC and they've just been sitting there since!!!

I picked up Ghost Rider, V for Vendetta and the Tobias Funke chase for retail. Ended up selling Ghost Rider when I did my Marvel purge. It's gone up by about $100 since I sold it, geez. I guess I never really expected them to go as high as they have now.
Or did you think I'd be too stupid to know what a eugoogoly was?

I got them after they came out. I got into collecting after they released and had to pay a pretty penny for both of them. I think around $50 a piece.

I would have to say I was surprised by Bullseye POP, my wife and I were just shopping at Target with NO intention of buying POPs. We spotted the Bullseye POP which was sitting on a shelf that wasn't POPs section, and it was alone. We looked at it and went "AWEEEE" and bought it for $8.99, and now it's climbing in value.

I picked up the gitd La muerte after seeing the movie and realizing how cool the glow was. Also picked up a set of sdcc metallic tmnt for like $60 from comic con in phx back in 2014. They also had stuff like metallic genie, etc for maybe $25ish?

Oh and there was the random morning I pulled up the funko shop and saw tony the tiger and thought well sweet he makes a mean cereal so why not... didnt realize how lucky my timing was at that point (may not qualify for the OG post but still a funny story)
